latest exploits in mamaland

so I go to eldest son’s class to pick him up after school and teacher takes me aside. She tells me that he came back from recess with a huge hole in his shirt, she’s not sure if he did it himself or what happened to it. They got him a shirt from the school nurse’s extra stock.

On the way home, I ask so what happened to your shirt today? He VERY proudly tells me “I CUT it!! With SCISSORS!!! I cut and cut!! The hole was WEALLY big!” Then he went on to tell me that he got a NEW shirt, showed it to me and his brothers all afternoon. He was so proud that he cut so nicely (he’s had trouble using scissors) AND he got a new shirt to boot!!

When I was able to do it with a straight face, I did have a chat with him about appropriate things to cut with scissors.

Re: latest exploits in mamaland

lol omg, but please be careful with him around scissors. those can be real dangerous. i hope he doesnt cut his hair next.

Re: latest exploits in mamaland

My daughter made a cut on her new shirt a few days ago.
Her reasoning? She wanted to know whether
the paper scissors will be able to cut through her
shirt or not. :smack:

Re: latest exploits in mamaland

ooh, this reminds me of something my younger brother did a long time ago… he took it upon himself to cut out a 1" inch square of fabric from the drawing room sofa! man, were my parents ticked off at him!
kids can be really silly sometimes

Re: latest exploits in mamaland

lol mama…that is cute
man this one time i ended up cutting the sleeves of my shirt in karachi because it was too hot. And I wasn’t even a kid, I was a 6th grader and the same year I decided to cut my hair and from the front. God knows what I was thinking lol :smack:

Re: latest exploits in mamaland

Re: latest exploits in mamaland

hahahahahah

this is SO cute:D

Re: latest exploits in mamaland

lol i too had a fascination with scissors too at age 7... i cut my hair, cut whatever i could get my hands on. one day my mom gave the ayah 10 bucks to take me to school by rickshaw (yeah that's how much it cost back then!). it was sitting there on the dining table, a nice crisp note with a white edge... i took my scissors and neatly cut the edges away, i thought i'd done such a neat job that no one would notice, lol... i had to walk to school that day and what a whacking i got when mum found out!

Re: latest exploits in mamaland

This incident reminds me of shaving my eyebrows ,when i was in 3rd grade.
Reason---i was silent admirer of my teacher aur un jaisi eyebrows banana chahti thii

BTW--how old is ur son?

Re: latest exploits in mamaland

So schweet! How on earth did he manage to get scissors while at school? Were the teachers not paying attention to what he was doing?

Re: latest exploits in mamaland

Aww...

My cousin cut his hair when we were kids...and later when his parents took him to the barber...he was like...

"aap khud tajarba na kia karein bachhey par...mujhey bula liya karein" :D

Re: latest exploits in mamaland

lolzzzzz.:omg:…its funny…Kids:D

Re: latest exploits in mamaland

Scissor-boy is 6...

apparently, on rainy days they have their after-lunch recess indoors and they have game tables, arts n craft tables etc and kids get to choose their activity. So he went to arts table and went to town on his shirt without the aides noticing what it was that he was cutting...lol!

Re: latest exploits in mamaland

very cute but scary as well...i think the teacher should pay more attention..i mean get a assistant or something for the extra help and to keep an eye on the scissor boy...lol....:p

Re: latest exploits in mamaland

hehe thats funny but also a bit concerning. Definitely have a talk with him mama. you must show us pictures of your boys too :)

My brother when he was probably around 4-5 picked up a scissor and cut the wire of an extension board while it was plugged in!!! Luckily the scissor had plastic handles so he was saved. His reasoning was, the wire was too long and in the way so he was just making it shorter.
