Clarification or whatever … there is something that is not just smoke (or propaganda).
What we know is that, BOL belongs to Axact (software company) and CEO of Axact is Shoaib Shaikh. Background of Shoiab Sheikh is from Karachi, who is from a family of modest means. We do not know, but it is possible that Shoaib Shaikh is owner of Axact and BOL … but maybe he is front man of Dawood Ibrahim. We can only go by various news in this respect and some pondering … though I do not think one should be that concerned.
BOL is lauched recently (its name came up I think in 2013). But here is an article from an Indian magazine, published in Oct 2011, much before BOL was launched, claims that Axact (company that owns BOL) belongs to Dawood Ibrahim. That means, not due to BOL, but regardless of BOL (as at the time BOL did not existed), at least people even in 2011 thought that company Axact belongs to Dawood Ibrahim (or smoke was there)

Are you saying ex ISI chief is joining mafia org? If so…it should not surprise anyone. Btw, that could also prove that GEO and Hamid Mirs allegations against ex ISI chief were true.

Why is that? ... How can Hamid Mir allegations is true. What ISI would get from eliminating or harassing Hamid Mir?
GEO started 'Aman kee Asha' backed by Indian media (and probably Indian agencies). GEO also started doing so-called Jihad against ISI, Pakistan army and Pakistani stand on Kashmir ... and was hand in hand with Nawaz Shareef in this respect.
Someone had to counter that somehow. Starting a media network is nothing bad and it is possible (not confirmed, but there is chance) that BOL TV was started with this in mind. ISI would like to give their backing to such media network too. So, what is to get surprised about?

Its not about legal or no. It raises the question about their affiliiation with the said media group. When they join right after one day, how long they have been in contact with each other? Who’s running the show? Think about main spy agency running the media, how terrible things would be?!!

First of all, it is not ISI who is running the media. Actually, we do not even know that BOL really belongs to Dawood Ibrahim or that has good will of ISI. On the other hand, what is terrible about an spy agency that has connection or good will with media?
It happens all over the world that national spy agencies uses media to do propaganda or spread their version of news. Nothing wrong or terrible about that.
But one thing is for sure ... that is, if it is true that BOL belongs to Dawood Ibrahim and that ISI has some good-will connection, than both PMLN and PPP would have hard time. I do not think they (PPP, PMLN or any party) would be able to harass BOL (or people working as Anchor on BOL) without any consequence to their own safety, nor they would be able to easily buy BOL (or BOL anchors ... as then anchors would find themselves unsafe).

I do not know if Zaheer has really joined BOL ... but we have to recognize that once a person retires, they go on pension. No pay or facilities. So ... if opportunity is available, why wait?
