Call me whatever but I was really disturbed to watch this video. These morning live shows are totally getting o'chhay with nonsense hosts getting out of control in their maraasi-pun. Jo moonh may aaya bukk diya. I am not a fan of mubashir luqman at all but we cannot deny what he brought into notice only because we hate him neither do I think he exaggerated.
I pray Allah guides these idiots with hidayat and help them realise what are they earning for themselves in the name of "entertainment"
P.s.Comparing this with raam sita is beyond my understanding
I strongly agree with you. These sick minded, pathetic channels can cross every limit for their cheap trips.pemra is not sleeping I think it is dead.
That video is so disturbing for me also, even I saw just a clip.when non Muslims do something like that we condemn even u tube is closed from like two years and if our own channels do something like that should we defend?????
And please don't make "raam sita " comparison.Hindus have idols of them in their homes, worship them, paintings of them everywhere, anywhere but it is totally not our way to respect.its also very disturbing and distasteful that ppl are giving the examples of hindu idols in this regard.
they played a qawali in the background about Ali and Fatima's wedding. big deal. whether it is blasemphemy or not, it is no reason to shut down a channel or cause such an outrage.

no.
whats more alarming is what kind of stupidity are people watching everyday? a fake wedding done on a morning show? the entire show is ridiculous. shaista and crew apologized, i dont think their intention was to be blasphemous. she probably wasn’t even paying attention to the significance of that particular qawali. we have much more important issues in pakistan than worrying about why a qawali was sung in a fake wedding ceremony in a silly morning show. as someone mentioned earlier, this qawali or something similar is sung/recited at shia weddings. so it does seem that this is being blown out of proportion.
As I mentioned in one of the threads - these are mirror image threads - the problem is not the fringe elements that make batting ones eyelids out of turn a religious crime. The problem is aam junta that appears to have similar views.
Agree with bella. Unnecessary controversy being cooked up. Far more important problems to solve.
ummm well it’s a deal to a lot of people. It’s an Islamic Republic with 95% muslim population so people were bound to get offended. It wasn’t even a small thing, they went all the way.
Morning shows do need to be banned.
Am I the only one who thinks that this is blown way out of proportion?!? Why do Pakistanis like to stir controversies out of small matters?! I'm sure Shaista and her team did not mean to be blasphemous and she did formally apologize right, so why not let it go now. Aren't there bigger problems in Pakistan?! I really fail to see why it's such a big deal. Are people bored?

Cuz pakistanis really do need a controversy all the time. They just cant live without that. Especially when it comes to blasphemy, there is no better muslim than that. I'd refer you to threads in PA forum for discussion abt that. Let it just be showbiz here.

I think we Pakistanis are bit more emotional regarding religion, I think all wht happened was unintentional, if mubashir luqman had not highlighted it may be it had went unnoticed.
