Its kinda weird that people feel awkward saying I love you to their parents. There has to be nothing awkward about it but I think the upbringing which we pakistanis are brought up with, the word ‘love’ is taken in ‘other’ context or something that you never speak of in front of elders sigh

Why is it weird? I never said it, I have other loving nicknames for my parents that I say to them when I talk to them when I am in an affectionate mood. I think that compensates for it.
