-My mother in law gave me a good advice to avoid Iftar parties in the last "Ashra" of Ramadan to the extent possible in order to spend more time in Ibadah (prayers). Such parties usually take away a lot of time at night and sometimes we don't even realize being invloved in useless chit chat during these precious hours.
-It is better to sleep an hour or so in the afternoon to be able to remain fresh during "Ibadah" at night.
-If possible serve Iftaar and dinner separately in order to keep oneself active during Taraweeh.
-Not to overload oneself with office work during these ten days so as to spend more energy in prayers.
May Allah (s.w.t) bless us with wisdom and strength to be able to make BEST use of these precious hours.
The Key is consistency. Instead of keeping the intensity of "Ibadah" very high only on 27th and very low on the rest of the days, it is better to pray on every night ( to one's strength) with special consideration to 21st, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 27th and the last date of Ramadan.
During the last 10 nights, Allah swt sends down his angels and special "rahmah" in search for people in sajda and Allah swt says " I'm looking for people engaged in dua, what are people asking for, I want to provide them" Recite Surah-Rahman once everynight during the last 10 nights.
its all coming to an end so soon. kher with regards to the last 10 nights, besides the above useful pointers…
do not over eat, it makes one more sleepy and too bloaty to offer ibadat for long periods of time
for those who cannot stay up all night, they should really try and wake up in enough time before sehri to offer tahajjud prayers… this is a special time and its best not missed.
try and mix up our ibaadat… it helps staying up, longer. Even if it means watching something useful on youtube for a bit.
