it doesn't take any Ulema to say it's haraam. It's plain and simple: Anything that can potentially alter one's state of mind, even for a while, is haram, because actions done in that period are not those which one would normally do, and that includes the so-called darbaar fakirs too, because they do it the most....drink/smoke hashish in the name of seeking a state of pure trance'
