Yes he went into the goal to pick up the ball, and he didnt realise it was a goal. He is a cheat. Watch the replay again.

OK watched it just now. He is probably guilty but even bigger culprit is the referee's assistant who should have seen it

Do not think David James or any other goalie would have done anything different though

Disappointing to say the least. We have to let go of the goal that wasn’t given…because this match is about so much more…the poor display that the England side has shown… i wish Fergie was in that dressing room so he could throw a boot or two at those bloody eejits!!! :grumpy:

Germans were clearly the better side today. They played the more attacking & fluent football today

Told you guys England's main problem is scoring goals (and by that I mean field goals) at international level. The first goal was also courtesy of a good header by Upson. The Germans by contrast have scored all field goals in this game

I have been watching World Cup Football religiously since 1986 (MARADONA's World Cup)
and I honestly cannot remember the last time England scored a really good or sensational FIELD goal against a top international side in WC.
