Lassi

Alright, an extremely limited cook here but I figured I’ll make my contribution.

For one cup lassi, place 4 table spoons yogurt into a glass. With a fork, beat the yogurt for one minute. Add water up to the top of the glass. Add one teaspoon salt or two teaspoons sugar, depending on your mood.

Voila!

ONE teaspoon of salt in ONE glass of lussi that has only 4 Tablespoons of yogurt? Are you nuts?

:yummy: ** Yogurt Lassi ** :yummy:

2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
3 1/2 cups cold water

What a recipe … :yummy:

luc this is RAAITA not LASSI recipe  lassi is the yoghurt drink and raaita is the stuff you eat with your meal, like with chawal.

TUMS, i would say ur recipe is fine, just add two pinches of salt rather than one teaspoon though.

** * btw i know the diff’ between lassi and raita, got carried away whilst posting the recipe :smack2: , how’s the 1 below this reply? ** *

:yummy: ** * Plain Lassi ** * :yummy:

Run the blender for about 1 minute.
Serve chilled.

Good keen observation by irem. LUC, this is what cut n paste does to you.

I am so fed up with your recipes that I usually skip them. I am glad irem still proof reads them.

Lussi isn't lussi without sugar.

^^ Yeah.. never could get used to 'salty' lassis..

I agree....How can you have lussi without sugar. Its a travesty.

Sweet lassi is made from yoghurt.....whereas salty lassi is made from the milk water that is separated from cream while churning butter.

Cold salty lussi's are a delight on hot summer days! (then again ANY cold drink is a delight when it's hot)

Turkish ppl drink a lot of salty lussi's (they're called Ayran (?) I think) Maybe that's why I kinda like em. You can buy them anywhere here.
