Is Lasith Malinga is the best bowler in World Cricket Specially the short form of the game, do you agree or disagree?
2nd I know we beat Sri Lanka the other day but they were without 2 key players Malinga and Mendis, with both of them in the lineup their team is totally different, i think they have a very balanced side Batting and Bowling wise, specially last 10 over’s they do not allow a lot of runs, also this team fields well, i have been saying to everyone, i hope Pakistan wins the WC but in reality it will not happen because of flaws in our team, if Amir and M Yousuf played instead of Abdur Rehman and Umar Akmal below would have been my playing 11, also everyone is saying India will win the WC, hold on a sec i do not think so, my pick from day 1 have been either SriLanka and 2nd would be Aussies, do not count this team out they will fight you till the last ball, there is no quit in the Aussie team believe me.
My Pak playing 11 team if i was the selector, i know ppl will say M Yusuf is done, he is a great player and on these Sub Continent pitches he would have been pretty good, also Amir would have been huge but i need to hear your opinions also.

To answer your 1st Q, no I do not think that Malinga is the best bowler right now. Don't forget his performance today came against a very weak Kenyan side who were thrashed out of sight by both NZ and Pakistan. plus it looks to me that Malinga actually THROWS the ball
Several names come to mind incl. Lee, Steyn, Gul and Akhtar. Yes at 36 Akhtar has still got it. Not many bowlers in world cricket can castle a formidable and technically correct batsman like Jayawardene like he did at the week-end. There is no outright best bowler right now
As for Yousuf I was also in favour of his inclusion but it is a moot point now. Thankfully for Pakistan, Misbah is in the form of his life. He has been consistently scoring runs in both formats (test + ODI) over the past 4-5 months. so we have n't really missed Yousuf.
^ Malinga's burst may have come against a weak team but his yorkers would have taken away ANY batsmen, such was their ferocity and accuracy! Awesome performance....
We dont miss yousuf (based on his current fitness levels and form of other players)
and Mendis was dropped because of his poor record against Pakistani team. We normally suck against spinners but our batsmen seem to pick mendis easily.
I dont consider Malinga as the best bowler in the world, but he is definitely a potent weapon for the SL team. I would say that Pakistan team got lucky that they played SL without Malinga in the team. His return is going to help them tremendously in their future games.

In todays flat track high scoring ODI world its hard to say who is the best, since you can't judge a bowler or batsmen unless the wicket is competitive and provides for both skills to shine. Flat tracks make avg. batsmen look above par, and green bouncy pitches make the avg. bowlers unplayable.
its unfair to call his action into question. lets remember that its not fun when it happens to our bowlers (shoaib akhtar) after ICC allows their actions.
he is definitely up there when hes on song. the kenyans probably wouldnt feature in his best memories, but the game against south africa when he ran through their batting (4 wickets in an over) was amazing. if there is a bowler today who can bring back memories of waqar at his prime its got to be Malinga and he gives the Ws credit for that:
malinga and mendis are overrated. Look up recent stats and both bowlers were taken to the cleaners by Pakistan, who are hardly the best batting side around
Malinga is a good bowler but not the best bowler......Remember is the bowler needs to be called as the best bowler he should prove himmself in Test matches too.....Which Malinga havent
