You make me want to try the Chanel Eyelash curler now!! I have the Shu Umera one which I have loved ever since I got it. I had a Revlon one before that which I donated to my sister... she never uses it. But I have always been a fan of curling lashes....if I have the time or remember to do it. For some reason I have this horrible habit of forgetting to put on mascara! But people tend to ask me if my lashes are real if I curl them and put on mascara.
If I do it right my routine is:
Curl lashes with Shu Umera lash curler
Prime lashes with Dior Show primer
1 coat of Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
1 coat of MAC Zoom Out Mascara
Makes lashes look super super long and thick. Have the worst trouble taking it off at night though :( Probably why I unconsciously always forget this step in my makeup routine...
I will also try the blow drying trick... very interesting..!

wow PR your routine is quite thorough! I'm quite curious about the mascara you use now, may try it out!

I use multiple mascaras sometimes too! Mine is the same routine as yours: curl and apply 2 coats minus the primer. I find the primer bit unnecessary but curling is a MUST!! And you will LOVE the Chanel curler. It is even more rounded than the Shu and it is PERRRFECT for rounded-long eyes. I love it. I wish I had gotten a backup but it's limited edition. :(
Regarding the “blow dryer trick”…if you’re trying it, PLEASE be careful. I usually put the curler under the dryer like 2-3 SECONDS! And please touch it first to make sure it’s not too hot.
PunjabiRose: I have MAC Zoom out and LOVE it! Your routine sounds tempting. Any way we can get a pic of the lashes? :halo:
BTW, anyone here ever use Carepost on their lashes? I usually use this for a week before special events and it makes a big difference in my short lashes.
Hahah my husband laughs at my “routine” … but he likes the end results so doesn’t complain about it.
InshAllah your curler will last you a long time! but omg… i need to hurry up and go out and buy it if it is a limited edition!!
I also found primers useless… but i bought the Diorshow primer after reading rave reviews on it… it honestly is amazing! It separates the lashes and it literally does “Prime” them to perfection! The results look so different when I do not use it as opposed to when I do use it.
What is Carepost? Im curious! Also there is a thing called “Eyelash Lacquer” … supposed to be applied after mascara and such… I have not tried that yet…has anyone? It is supposed to make them look even longer and give them a nice shine.
Here is a pic of my eyes/lashes ..
I had to majorly crop this pic so I hope it turned out ok.
I don't wear make-up daily...but when I do wear it (especially in the evenings), I always curl my lashes. I use whatever is the cheapest at CVS, Ulta etc. And yes, for me it makes a major difference. For special occassions, I "heat" the curler using my blow dryer (heat for a few SECONDS)....this makes the "effect" a little more dramatic and longer lasting.

Firstly, your lashes are gorgeous! Now I need to try the primer... :)
Have you heard of Latisse? Carepost is basically the same thing...but MUCH cheaper.
Gorgeous lashes, PR! And Paheli, I have heard of Carepost via MUA and I have been meaning to try it! Did you get it from alldaychemist or w/e that site is? Does it help w/ thickening or just length?

Yep...I get it at ADC. For me...it mainly helps with the length. BUT...keep in mind I also don't use it daily. I usually use it for 1-2 weeks/daily....before a special event.
i tried the hairdryer trick when i had to go to a dawaat this past weekend and it worked like a charm!!! such a good idea with no added cost! haha
can someone suggest a carepost alternative that we can get in the US?
I'm happy you liked the blowdryer trick!
BTW, check out alldaychemist.com. It's a online Indian pharmacy (and yes, they deliver in the U.S.). I've been using them for almost 3 years. I get my Retin-A and Careprost from them. They charge $25 flat for shipping but the meds are super cheap...so I usually order 3-4 of each medicine.
I usually order 1x/year. If you can find a friend or family member who wants stuff from them....you can also combine the order and split the shipping cost.
Although you have to admit....it still beats having to buy all that in the U.S. Where not only is the item itself super expensive....but you also need to pay a doctor to get a prescription (unless you know someone who's a M.D. and willing to give you one).
I have never ordered from there and was only going to get the Careprost but maybe I'll have to figure out a way to. The stuff gets shipped from India? Maybe it's also available in Pakistan?

Yep, they're based out of India. Dunno if it's available in Pakistan or how I'd get it...lol. Yea IF you do end up using ADC....I'd recommend ordering several at once so you don't have to place another order after a month or two.
