you can't go wrong with HP and Brother. You may want to look at the following before you buy:
- The replacement cartridge price
- PPM Speed
- duplex printing (both sides)
- manual feed option
- number of trays
- tray capacity (number of sheets it can hold)
check the rating before you buy. newegg.com is a good source.

CP, is that for casual use, home computing kind of stuff ..
I used Samsung ML1710D for long time , bough it for less than 100 dollars. very good for home computing

I am using HP CLJ 1600 for quite some time, never had problem. The real thing you should check in these printers is the tonner price. Some times you can get a new printer in around £80 range but the tonner alone will cost you around £65.

I see samsung #1 but my budget is around $100-$150max, like KK says, toners cost sometimes more than the printer itself, rather buy a new printer when the toner runs out lol.
What do you guys suggest from printer list on that link?

well guys, i was about to order the brother from NCIX.com for the $96 price, then in the middle of order I went back to printer page to check the samsung one, thank ALLAH I did! because, the brother printer now was on special for $65! and at the local shop is at $149...

use printer as much as you can at school-uni -colleges and see how you gonna deal with them. but i agree either brothers, lexmark’s, epson, or HP these printers so far so good :k:
i personally like to have the one where scanner+photocopier+printer in one machine :k:

Konica Minolta
aah - so someone does have it - :k: :k: for Konica Minolta… and as far as toner cartridge is concerned, I order mine off of ebay for $20 - $25. It’s a refurbished/refilled toner cartridge.
