so i visited a derm n she adviced to have fractional laser for scars..and will write me sme creme so that i cn apply on pimples.. and IPL for hair removal…does anyone hav ny idea abt this treatment? is it useful? or cn it make my skin mre worst..?
also my mom hav wrinkles arnd her eyes so derm suggested her for botox treatment once in 6 mnths. so pls lemme knw if u guys knw abt it..
I have few scars on my cheeks due to acne. I came across a dermatologist in toronto who does acid treatment to get rid of your acne. Each treatment costs around $400 dollars and he targets all the scars on ur face. The treatment should be done every 3 months.
I started this treatment last year february. You won't believe what a difference it had made to my skin. I've had 3 treatments so far and my face has recovered 75%. He said I need one more to erase last traces of my scars. My face wasn't soo bad to begin with but I had some deep scars that made my face look bad. There is never a permanent removal of scar treatment but this treatment is almost close to permanent.
As for your mom. I would try Restylane- cosmetic dermal fillers made of non-animal-based. Its better than Botox cauz it doesn't freeze ur face. The results last for 6-8 months. Each treatment is $600 dollars. If you are looking for more permanent treatment- try wrinkle creams from sepora. They take their sweet ass time but work.

i had a treatment sme 7 yrs ago..where my derm prescribed me accutane..and thn i was using skinoren and retin- A. I get to see 3-4 pimples in a week. So i went to her yesterday and she prescribed me Fucicort and Asap creme. Also i fixed my appoinment for IPL for hair removal and Fractional laser for scars...but i was jus wondering if its safe...I also asked her abt harmones and she said we better nt get into all this..pimples will stop appearing at a certain age..lets juss treat scars and facial hairs...nw m really confused..:/

That's actually wrong.. u need to work on the pimples first and have them treated first before u work on u're scars. If u don't tackle u're acne issue u'll continue to breakout and they will continue to leave scars.
Accutane didn't work either? Then I suggest u see a better dermatologist..since every good derm knows that acne is partly related to hormones and a test is a must.. then they might put u onto mild antibiotics for a couple of months combined with ointments.
After u're done treating u're pimples, only then shud u worry and try to fix the scars and chose u're laser treatments/peels..this derm seems to be interested in short-cuts and big bucks.

Actually..Accutane worked at that time..and after few years acne was back so..i told her that i dont want to take ny medicine and juss get rid off them completely by laser or anythin...:S
And u didnt say anythin regarding IPL hair removal? What if i juss treat my facial hairs for now...and then treat pimples ?
I'd still suggest that u tackle u're acne first then even think about hair removal methods. I fail to understand how he/she has suggested laser when u're still breaking-out? ANY good derm would work on getting u a perfect complexion..by first treating the acne..
There's no use of u treating the scars when u're still breaking-out..u'll still have marks..
hi, if you have bad pimples drink plenty of fluids first and the best solution is md formulations, use there face wash and products, you can find them on the website, i have had the same problem and my skin is now flawless. Although ni am now in my 30's my skin is super clear. MD Formulations contain glycolic acid which is a very good solution, may take a few months to clear up.
Once your skin improves use the nd yag laser treatment for any scars, not the ipl, the nd yag is modern and is also good for rejuvenating the skin, my sister is a dermatologist and has her own clinic in the uk, Also for hair removal, the most effective is the soprano laser, please feel free to look this up on the web.. ive used it, its great and now i am getting rid of my bikini and leg hair, i only had 6 treatments on my face.
If you have big pink angry pimples make a home remedy of - radish leaves, make these into a paste and leave on the pimples over night, these dry up the pimples and do not leave scars, (mooli ke patteh)
Also haldi mixed with honey and a loittle salt is good, make a pack once a week.
A lot of my docs told me never to take Accutane. For the oral treatment, I took pulse antibiotics (because my body doesnt tolerate antibiotics well)--which means I took these pills 4 times in a month for 4 months (azithromycin).
For scars its all trial and error; Ive used Jesseners, Cosmelon, Lactic Acid Peels, Blue light and really had no effect:(:(:( Expensive and not worth it for my skin type.
Weird enough a very simple homeopathic medicine called Arnica solved the problem (virtually finished face acne and diminished the scars).
My allopathic doc gave me some products from a line BelleDerm (a cleanser with Salisylic Acid, a spray with Lactic plus Salisylic, and a scar lightener)---I would certainly recommend these products.
And a naturopath told me to have more Omega-3's (very good for the skin)
I agree with the hormone check, there isnt much cure for hirsutism, but the sporano laser can reduce the hair significantly.
Ive tried the MD Formulation range of products, its not cheap but excellent.. dont try any pakistan creams , i dont feel they are safe, all they do is help temporary leaving skin dry and aged in the longterm.. whilst using Md Formulations you must also use an spf sunblock 30..

I did the IPL, ITS GREAT.....MASHALLAH...but ti takes a year. you need 1 session every month and u need 12 sessions minimum. after about 4 session you start to notice hair not growing back or growing back thinner..
