I’ve had mild acne since about 4 years now. I have horribly uneven skin tone, and hyper-pigmentation towards the sides of my face. I also have a few acne scars.
My derm recommended i get a laser treatment for acne and scars. According to her it will fix the uneven tone and the pigmentation, along with curing my acne.
I’m 20 years old and my skin looks a lot more aged because of the pigmentation and a few scars. Any word of advice from people here? Am i too young to go through a laser treatment? Is this the only solution i have for my skin issue, since my acne isn’t severe and most of the problem is with scars and pigmentation?
Theit is.also.something.called derma roller treatment and you.do this alongside thermo peels. This gets rid of the top later of skin and gets the skin top produce new collagen.and hence new skin. Its supposed.to be really effective. I've heard laser isn't good for.Asian skin as it.causes hyperpigmentation.

I don't think you will find Laser treatments THAT effective and you will most likely be recommended to do a course which will not come cheap.
Also, you are risking stimulating your facial hair to become thicker. I know a number of people who experienced this.
Paheli has written a lot of very comprehensive and informative posts on chemical peels and retin-A use. This is your best bet for the hyperpigmentation. It won't be overnight but including these into your weekly routine will fade the scars.
My bro is 16 and has normal teenage acne - large pimples, small pimples, blackheads etc. I've been getting him to wash his face with 10% glycolic acid facewash and put a 15% glycolic acid night cream on (as I could not be bothered to do peels for him every week just yet!). It's made a big difference for him at least. He doesn't get so many spots and his skin is looking clearer.
Have u considered trying roaccutane? I have had from my 12th till 22 years acne problems. I tried everything u could imagine. My dermatologist suggested me roaccutane. Its quite a heavy medicine. But my best ever medicine, i got rid of my acne.

My cousin tried roaccutane & it helped her tremendously.
Before doing something as invasive as this you should try some potent creams/serums to target the scars. I use Vichy's Total Dark Spot corrector and it has brightened my overall complexion considerably. I also use La Roche Posay's serum with Kojic and Glycoluc acids. Together, these products are very effective. You will see results in a few weeks :-) inshallah.
