Fed up with wearing ‘heavy specs’ and contact lenses for more than two years. I finally decided it was time I do something about my eyes. So, I started my research online and found out about Laser Eye Surgery. At first I wasn’t sure what it was, it’s benefits and how exactly it would be done. So I started reading reviews online and did more research. Reviews were more encouraging: eight out of ten people who got it done were pleased with reults and recommended it, there were no reported cases of blindness and no long lasting side-effects either.
After consutling with my family members and friends, I decided to get this surgery done. Last month I went to Optical Express in Harley Street (London) and booked a consultation.
The constulation went well, after checking my eyes health, eyesight and my medical history, I was told I am suitable candidate :D. They also explained me all the side-effects, risks and after care. Staff were brilliant and customer serivce couldn’t have been any better:). Now only one question was left: cost. Standard treatment for both eyes (including after care and further appointments) was from £1000 and more advanced treatment (ofcourse, including everything) from £995 per eye.
Since it was about eyes and not wanting to take any risks, I choose the advanced treatment, booked appointment, paid a deposit of £200 and next day paid the full price - around £2000 in total. I wanted to get the surgery asap and booked the treatment within days. I was really scared and didn’t wanted to take any risks, so, I decided to get one eye at a time just to be on safe side ![]()
On the treatment day, I was, ofcourse, nervous and the thought of anything going wrong ws pretty scary. But the staff were really friendly, helpful and informative. They re-tested my eyes, checked my vision again and, after about half an hour, called me in for the treatment.
The treatment itself was absolutely painless and lasted no more than 20 seconds
. After getting the treatment my eye was completley red and watery, vision was blurry and I was sent in another room to rest . After few minutes, nurse came and asked me how I was, gave me eye drops & googles and explained me the eye drops and told me not to do few things for around two weeks, advised me to keep eye closed for atleast one hour before sending me home.
Once I got home I just rested, my eye was still red & watery and I could feel a bit of pain. I just took two paracetamol and went to bed. Next day I woke up, my vision was perfect and my eye was healing. I went for the after-care appointment and everything was fine. As time went on, my eye & vision improved. I then got the second eye treated following week and followed the same procedure.
Nearly a month on, my vision is now even better than it was with my glasses on before. Allhumdullilah, my vision is great and my eyes are perfect. Life is back to normal now. Now I don’t have to wear those ‘heavy specs’ again and I feel like I am in a new world!
:D. I would definately recommend Lasery Eye Surgery. It is great, easy, almost painless and affordable too. If you want to get rid of your glasses or don’t like wearing them, I suggest you get Lasery Surgery done and enjoy life without glasses! ![]()
InshAllah I will not have to wear glasses again and, may Allah bless each and everyone of us with a great vision ![]()
