Me and my father both have weak eye sight. I am 24 years old with a -1.5 eye sight and my father is 64 years of age with -5.0 eye sight. I wear contact lenses but he wears specs. My job requires me to sit in front of the laptop for some 10 hours and my father reads books approximately 14 hours of the day.
Anyway, i wanted to know if it was okay for us to get laser eye surgery for our eye sights to be fixed and we can get rid of the contact lenses / glasses?
Well a relative of mine went for this surgery and is very happy as he used to use glasses previously but now doing gr8. Masha Allah now has 6 by 6. Driving, reading and other stuff is not a problem any more. He got treatment from Laser Vision Center Lahore. I think you should give it a try or consult them as it all depends if laser surgery is possible or not. Surgery does not take more than couple of hours and then no need to glasses or contact afterward. May God Bless you.

Can you also find out for me if there were any side effects he faced?
How was the surgery carried out, any pain? any precautions?
Also, please also ask how much it cost him?
My best friend went for Lasik and it cost her around $4000. She does not have to wear glasses or contacts anymore and feels great...says its the best thing she ever did.
one of my friend has it. shes in her late 30's n doing gr8 now. shes completely out of glasses n looks so young. its not very costly as it once used to be around 3500-4000 CND. i think abt it too but many ppl just scare me off.
I have had many people including friends and relatives have the laser surgery performed.
According to what they have said it is relatively painless and recovery is pretty quick.
I have been considering it for myself for a couple of years now but haven't worked up the nerve.
Can someone please tell me if there are any good practitioners doing this procedure in Karachi? What is the cost?
my eyesight was -4.5 and i had it done about 8 years ago in Pakistan (sorry cant remember the name of the clinic, somewhere in Lahore) it was the best thing i did, never regret it since then, other members of family have had it done in Uk all ok, in fact my young sis had it done last year in Pak, somewhere in Rawalpindi, (will get you address if i can)
slight pain and discomfort only lasts for a few days but well worth it.
it worked a total of 280.00 GBP, (it was 8years ago), that included all the medication as well, at the time i was really nervous and only wanted 1 eye done first, however everyone i spoke to knew someone who had it done and to them it was like a minor thing!!!, anyway my fears were put to ease by the consultant (who had done his training in USA) and i opted for both eyes.
Other members of the family were so encouraged that at least 3 of them have had it done albiet in UK (only cause they could not get the time to go to PAK), and as i mentioned in my previous post my younger sister had hers done last year in Islamabad somewhere.
in rawalpindi amanat eye hospital is best 4 lasik
many people around me had it from there and complitely satisfied
it costs around 30,000 to 35,000 from there
i also went there for this prosidure as my eyesight is -7.50 and i m only 25 years old
realy get tired from glasses and lenses but after doing some test they recomended me not to think about this bcs my my eyes are not suitable for this prosidure
is there any other metohod that i can get rid of pooreyesight?
also suggest me the best contact lenses brand
oh i forget to mention amanat hospital have PRK facility not lasik but it is also worth it
hmm, i want this done too, costs around 1800pouunds or 2000....know lots of people who did it. and said it was great. havent got the nerve to do it in pak though, dont know why....
There are multiple eye diseases which are increasing in Pakistan day by day as Lasik eye surgery is the best treatment for a dusty and cloudy lens and for this treatment you do not need any outpatient facility.
