Lasagna or Biryani?

I have a little dawat to host in two weeks time … Cant decide on something ..

The menu is as follows:

Starters : Chapli kabab & humous

Grill: keema fillo rolls and Chicken roast

Main course :Plate decoration : White rice decorated with chicken tikka …

Lasagna or Biryani
Chicken Karahi
Koftay
Channa daal
naan

Dessert : Rasmalai , mango mousse

Now the confusion is , I always have biryani on the menu as the rice dish , this time I have a guest who is a picky eater … for him and the kids i was thinking of dropping biryani and including lasagna instead … what is your opinion?

Majority of your menu is desi, i would stick with the biryani, (even though i hate it)

also please share your recipe of mango mousse.

I have yet to perfect the recipe of mango mousse, will make it one more time and will them post it for you

You could do a different kind of rice:

Keema biryani
Masoor pilau with keema (that always goes down a treat)
Egg fried rice - I usually cook that with karhai chicken, again its a good combo

hmmm sounds like a good idea tiger , ok , I will ponder over it and see if i can manage to make good keema biryani .. last time i tried and it was horrid

How about a different lamb biryani? What kind do you normally cook?

How about Hydrabaadi, or kache gosht ke biryani?

You already have rice don’t you? So technically, if you add biryani you’d have two rice dishes.
