Larka Badnaam Hua Haseena Tere Liye

The recent “Munni Badnaam Hui” is a copy of this song…there is no real surprise here as most popular bollywood songs are copies of pakistani music.

Re: Larka Badnaam Hua Haseena Tere Liye

umm yeah, I thought everyone already knew that? thanks for sharing anyway.

Re: Larka Badnaam Hua Haseena Tere Liye

yeah this video was played on humtv morning show proudly...one morning ....looooong time ago :)

Re: Larka Badnaam Hua Haseena Tere Liye

But the director of the movie was like it was a folk song from India...larka badnaam hua naseeban tere liyeh or something like that so it could be that the Pakistani verson was copied from there...Though except the badnaam hua tere liyeh parts, I don't think there is any other similarity in these two songs. This one is like a Qawali and that one isn't.

Re: Larka Badnaam Hua Haseena Tere Liye

there are several claims for this song such as that

1) bhojpuri folk number titled as "Launda Badnaam Hua Naseeban Tere Liye (as the director of the film says that he used to hear it in his childhood)
2) "Launda Badnaam Hua Naseeban Tere Liye" by Razia begum which was released in 1971.

later these lyrics were copied in an indian films and in an album.

but munni badnaam isnot a copy of larka badnaam hua from charlie movie. instead charlie copied it or rather took the idea.

Re: Larka Badnaam Hua Haseena Tere Liye

^ that bhojpiry song was copied from larka badnaam hua. charlie was released earlier than that film.M ashraf the composer of larka badnaam hua is a huge name in Pakistani music industry with many gems to his credit. Many of his compositions have been ripped off by bolly thieves.

Re: Larka Badnaam Hua Haseena Tere Liye

charlie was released in 1992. bhojpuri one is a traditional song which has been there since ages (as the directer used to listen to it in his childhood and the dude isnot a 15 yr old)

plus it has been sung by razia begum in 1971
