KGOL-AM 1180 AM Radio in Houston finally decided to shut the largest Pakistani radio program ‘Young Trang’ http://www.paksirzameen.com ) from it’s airwaves. Young Trang hosted by Saleem and Zara Syed was primarily responsible for making provocative statements on the radio waves and created a wedge in the South Asian community in Houston. Young Trang was broadcast every Saturday and Sunday from 1180 and 1560 AM stations. The slots have been taken by other Pakistani radio programs like Naya Andaz and Desi Masala.
Reason for their shut down was the program about some molvis
What is the reason for shut down or Maulvis is the only reason.

I am form HOuston, I was listining to all that. He said some degrading this about Muslims and had some Kadiyani people on his shows trying to prove that they are real muslims by giving this false hadiys. The muslim association thought it was a propaganda against muslims to divide them, but i guess he did not make it happen.

Why, they had no answer for that. No body had guts to go to same program and answer the claims of Kadiyanis.......
Is this the same program that flaunted Krishna as a playboy with a "harem" of 16,000 women?
If it was, that sure didn't help the South Asian community here in Houston at all.
There was a meeting with those Kadiyani people in a Big Hall to answer any questions that kadiyani had.Lot of ppl came about 500 or so.But no Kadiyani mulla came they just send there messenger with a message that we will record all the conversation and answer them in the future. But the kadiyani Mullas were becoming a regular at the show and did not do a good job in answering any questions or comments
SO what was the problem than, why you had to stop the program. If they were not doing the good job than why you were affraid of them and had to stop the program. I am confused...
I did not stop it. Well what happend is that the Muslim association complained to the Radio Station, that the show insulted islam. And the Radio Station has a policy that you cannot say any thing about religion among other things. So Bye Bye Young Trang. Thats it
Radio programmer named few mullas with their masjid name that they are involved in some indecent activity. This was his happenend to be last show
Now the question is, WHAT WAS THE INSULT and did Radio managemant found it an insult. Now the insult is when you call somebody with bad names or say dirty stories about somebody.
This program was controversial from Day 1. They had problems with other Pakistanis. One prominent Pakistani businessman Ghulam Bombaywala filed a case against Young Trang. They were warned many times for making provocative statements in their "Aap ki Rai" segment. They divided the Pakistani community by making Anti-Muhajir, Anti-Sindhi, Anti-Ismaili comments. They made anti-Indian comments too.
There were cases where one group threatened to kill the other group.
Then there was big ego problems and a fight with PAGH (Pakistan Association of Greater Houston). Pakistanis in Houston are divided by these radio program. Each program manipulated the community.
