Large, Open Pores!!!

What to do about them? :frowning:

Stay away from heat and steam.. cleanse, tone and moisturise atleast once a day! Buy a good quality astringent.. (alcohol-free) Avon has a couple of nice masks.. called "PoreFection" even a regular multani mitti (fullers earth) mask will help tighten them.

Good luck!

Thanks :).

:)

i think yoghourt and egg white are good skin tighteners.

Re: Large, Open Pores!!!

some Rose Water (in ice shape) and gently rub it on face, stay away from heat.

Hi,

During your regular face-washing routine, wash your face with warm water to open up the pores and throughly get rid of the dirt/soap. BUT rinse your face with cold water because cold water closes the pores. And take a cotton ball and soak it in cold rose water and tone your face with it. That should help minimize pores and it's very refreshing and fragrant at the same time:)

sometimes i use nuetrogena's pore refining cleanser and toner from estee lauder...

Re: Large, Open Pores!!!

splash ur face wid cold water regularly,i heard tomato juice shrinks pores...never tried though...boil mint, saunf in some water, cool it n use it as toner

Since it's winter, please dont use cold water while washing u're face.. this tightens the pores and closes them and without u're skin being cleansed is a bad idea!

Cleanse u're face with lukewarm water.. and rinse with a splash of cold water.. pat it dry (avoid using towels) pat it dry with a tissue and then apply u're toner (I keep mine in the fridge!) follow-up with a moisturiser.

wats the difference btwn toner n astringent?
is mint & saunf water good for acne prone skin too??

Mint and neem are good astringents.

Astringents are for oily acne-prone skin and most toners are made up of skin soothing agents like aloe/chammomile. Toners usually don't have alcohol..

oh ok...i hav this large bottle of facial astringent..but it has alcohol...shud i use it or not?if yes how often?

Re: Large, Open Pores!!!

I love clinique toners - you can use them daily if you want. Get facials often.

Nancy, if u have oily skin.. and acne then u may use it.. it's extremely drying so follow-up with a good moisturiser :)

Re: Large, Open Pores!!!

So what do we do with it, after we cleanse and before we moisterize, just wipe the face with rosewater and then wash off with cold water?
