I love this!
Thanks
That's very interesting...did she mention how Pehnawa would have the same pics?
Well one of them is not being clear!
and im just glad handbagsandhandbags got the exact replica!
Thanks
That's very interesting...did she mention how Pehnawa would have the same pics?
She said Pehnawa copied her pics, which normally is what happens, but I have the exact dress modelled by the model- the exact large stones on the beige panels, the exact plain mint green material between the jamwar mint green material, the exact border, the exact colors used for this dress, etc.
I commented on Maisha's page under one of the model pics if she and Pehnawa used the same karigar/tailor. Instead of posting on her page that she did not and that Pehnawa likely copied her pics, she sent me a message to my email. Then, because she happened to be online on FB at the same time I was, we were able to converse about it. She requested that I delete my comments and I did. I said that her prices were lower so she shouldn't worry about others trying to compare her prices to Pehnawa's. But she said since my comment 3 or 4 people asked about it and she found it irritating. If that happened to me I would have just posted on my page that these are my pics and my replicated outfits, modelled by my model and anyone else who posts them has copied them.
I will ask Summaiyya to see what she says.
Re: Large Flair/Ghair clothes
^ I am curious to know what Summaiyya would say!
Re: Large Flair/Ghair clothes
thanks escapist
beautiful outfit
i like the embroidery on the copy one more than the original one ![]()
^ I am curious to know what Summaiyya would say!
I finally got Summaiya on FB the same time I was on it. She said that Maisha Creationz (heretofore Maisha) ordered these items from her and at the time Maisha said it was for a wedding but she later discovered that she used them to start her own FB page. She said she didn't care since Maisha had paid for them and was free to do as she pleased with them.
She then asked if Maisha was offering them at a lower price because then Maisha would be selling them at a loss. It seems strange that someone who is starting out as a designer (its not like she is selling her own clothes at a discount like people often do on ebay) would be selling clothes at a loss. I then thought maybe Maisha was displaying those clothes along with others from various FB sites to advertise her business- only problem is once someone orders one of Summaiyya's replicas, if Maisha does not use the same person to make the actual outfit, then it will look different. It's not like she can have Summaiya make these suits for her and operate at a loss. She did go through a lot of trouble to hire a model and have a photoshoot.
I know these outfits are Summaiya's because if you go on the Pehnawa Collection site and look from pic 147- 156 you can see the originals and her replicas (they are on hangers) and these were posted in May. Maisha has the exact same outfits (same colors, same styles, same kaam, etc.) oh her site but her stuff is displayed on a model and posted in June. I guess when Summaiyya saw them she copied the pics because they really do look nicer on the model than on hangers.
Maisha was pretty adamant when I told her I had the same replica from Pehnawa Collection, insisting everyone can make the same replica, it is just the price that is different- we all know that is not true. Also the fact she denied knowing anything at all about Summaiyya and then requested that I delete my comment under her photo (about possibly using the same karigar/ tailor as Summaiyya) just makes her some what suspect.
I am tempted to buy 1 outfit from Maisha Creationz just to see if I get the same replica shown in pic- her prices are cheaper.
Re: Large Flair/Ghair clothes
HHmmm this Maisha Creationz is using Aleena Sameers actual replica pics - they are defo aleenas pics as its her living room in the back - the suits she sent me were also photographed there!
that's not right.
Handbags - have your other suits turned up? as you seem to have ordered from almost all the main vendors perhaps you can give us your top 3? your insight and comparison will be appreciated!
Re: Large Flair/Ghair clothes
i agree with prototype on this.. he has good technical clothing knowledge...
Re: Large Flair/Ghair clothes
The thing is...Aleena has a dress on her FB..not in her house..that I really liked and commented on.She said 'well, the design is like this because I'm a designer'..d'uh.ok.
But then, that same exact dress (in the same location,ie.same pic) is on at least two other FB's and they too say 'thank you' when you comment on the lovely designing.!!!
Who the heck do you believe??...or does it really matter whose design it is as long as you get the exact replica for a price that you are willing to pay?...passing off a design as your own when it isn't is lying...isn't it?
I'm not saying Aleena is lying or anyone else...just saying how you see the same pics everywhere ,and not know who designed it originally.
Re: Large Flair/Ghair clothes
I'm not trying to defend Aleena on this one, but all of the designs on Aleena's profile are her own apart from the ones she has in her replica albums which even in that album she has her own designing next to the orignal which very less designers do.
I've seen a designer on this forum copy her dress design and also has the cheek to remove the background of the dress via "paint" and display it as her own design. And not just Aleena's many other homebased designer's designs she has done this with.
I'm not gona mention that designer's name but she'll know who she is when she reads this.
So i know many designers that copy her designs and it's very sad when she does all the hard work. And d reason why i know they are her designs is because she always has them first in her albums.
@guriya1986.
Yes,I know where you're coming from....Aleena is a very talented designer, and I like 99% of her outfits...just can't afford them!.The only reason I mentioned her name was because it came to mind first.
My point was,you see the same pics.not just of the outfit...but the location too.Well,I'm no expert when it comes to designers or fabrics...just know what I like.
So...it really does not matter who designs it,as long as you get a decent suit??
I know somebody mentioned on her FB that her design was being copied, and she said she wasn't too bothered because there was nothing she could do about it.
Oh...what the heck!!...I seem to be repeating myself....shut up CharmedOne!...
Hey Charmed one
it IS very important to know who actually made the suit/replica as trust me the quality varies from vendor to vendor so you always want to see what they themselves had made rather than what they will copy!!
You think a replica is a replica but unfortunately it doesn't work that way!! vendors interpretation/quality of kaam/fabric/cut can vary drastically!!
with aleena - the stuff you see on the sofa i believe is hers because as i said the suits she posted out to me were photographed with the same background - the rest i don't know about...
Re: Large Flair/Ghair clothes
YES!!...supersummer,that is exactly the point I'm trying to make (not very well,it seems). When you see the same pic in several FBs...how do you know if it belongs them, and whether or not you will get a half way decent outfit?...I know Aleena has an album called replicas, where you can see her work alongside the originals, which is an excellent idea.
But passing off an outfit as your own design is cheating....I know.

Re: Large Flair/Ghair clothes
well said charmed and summer, unfortunately therte are plenty of unscrupulous people out there who'll take your money and either disappear or deliver shoddy goods. There are now so many facebook groups out there "designing" clothes that have album after album of kapray BUT u dont know if its their work or someone elses they've stolen. I dont havea problem with people coying work but please dont blatently go round claiming it as your own and taking the praises for it. That is just plain rude and unprofessional.
My general rule is to stick to the GS girls who have got good reviews. The reviews that i really pay attention to are those posted up by long standing GS members, not somebody who joined yesterday and is singing the praises of a "new " designer.
Please do not give your hard earned cash to anybody who is just displaying pictures out of a magazine with no examples of real work. Again i have also seen examples of the same "real" work popping up in different FB groups. Stick to the recommendations on sites like GS and i think you should be OK.
But on FB i have ordered from Sabas collection and Madihas Atelier and loved both of their work.
On GS i've ordered from Cyma, Crystal bracelets and of course Proto and so far i've had a really good experience.
Re: Large Flair/Ghair clothes
the yards of fabric mentioned by a few users is not exactly accurate. this is the flare that i have made is from 5 yards of cloth which has a width of 1.25 yards
13 yards of fabric is way too much. 5 should do the trick.
Re: Large Flair/Ghair clothes
^So what is the total in inches for daman?
Re: Large Flair/Ghair clothes
for an anarkali dress with churidar how many panels or kalis are required for ghair and fullness? what's the best material for this? I will post a pic of the dress shortly.
Re: Large Flair/Ghair clothes
daman is 90 inches.
anarkali can be made in any material, it depends on the tailoring. sometimes you can do wonders with very little fabric. the ones posted by me are done in soft cotton material with self embroidery in the fabric. post the picture then i will tell you.
Re: Large Flair/Ghair clothes
mostly 16 panels are sufficient. then again depends on design and fabric.
