Large cockroach

sorry i know this topic will make you feel “ewwwwwww”

But I really need to know how to get rid of them?? Some times i dont know from where they just appear all of a sudden :frowning:

Re: Large cockroach

Raid. Or I've heard that you can use baking soda (or maybe it's baking powder? But most likely soda). Leave it out where you usually see them and you should see dead roaches. Baking whatever explodes their intestines... I know, disgusting.

Keep the kitchen clean. Don't leave the dirty dishes out, the sink should be dry.

Re: Large cockroach

Argh, I have no idea but just reading the title sent a shiver through my spine!

Re: Large cockroach

Not only kitchen i saw the in bathroom... And my bathroom is always clean...Spray i use when i saw them i spray on them and they are dead...But Is there any way that they dont enter home ?? I doubt they are coming from Out side...

Sorry :(... You just saw the title Im watching them front of me :(

Re: Large cockroach

You live in an apartment? If so call the landlord because it might be a bigger problem, roaches coming in from your neighbor's place. The landlord will take care of it..

If you live in a house, even then call the professionals and tell them to spray the whole house. Then keep it extra clean especially the kitchen.

For now apply sprays/powder in dark areas like under kitchen sink, cupboards, behind fridge and microwave, behind toilet seat...

Re: Large cockroach

Which powder? Baking soda powder?

Re: Large cockroach

*Boric acid, another chemical of lesser toxicity to humans, can be used to control roaches. Domestic users can purchase the dust form of the product which should be applied as a light coating. If the coating is too thick, the insect will simply avoid going in its path. The paste form is available to pest control operators for treatment of cracks and crevices. Boric acid, a stomach action poison, is ingested while the insects clean themselves. Applied where the insects are likely to hide, it takes about 10 days to be effective. Boric acid may be effective for many years when treated areas are kept dry.

Re: Large cockroach

yes, baking soda... you know, the arm and hammer one.

I've heard of boric acid too.

I REALLY hate them, you have no idea. Did you know they can survive without their head/mouth for six days?! CREEEEPY!

you could try calling those pest control people, here they do a procedure called "bombing the house", you're not supposed to enter the house till 5-6 hours after they've left and I've heard that it's pretty effective.

The powder Idea Is good…I will try i have this arm n hammer baking soda …

When I was kid my mom used to say " Jis cheez se jitna daro gi wo utna hi tumhare samne aye gi" She was right :(..I just Saw one in my bath room And now i wont be able to sleep :(

Re: Large cockroach

I've lived with the roaches for more than 10 good years, so let me know if you want their family structure, language, culture, habits..etc :)

Re: Large cockroach

To clean gutters and keep cockroaches away: boil cut-up nylon soap in a little water till foamy. Pour in drains. Do this once every fortnight by Zubaida Tariq.
