laptops

for school purposes mostly

anyone know which ones are good

dell, toshiba, hp???

i’d like something not that expensive…i can go up to $850 or $900

Re: laptops

toshiba, between these three I would go for toshiba.. dell is a bit cheaper though. HP if u going for AMD machine.

Re: laptops

sighz but there's all these friggin models in toshiba and dell..which one is good :-/

Re: laptops

chorni, you can get one of those which looks like a laptop but is actually a calculator. Suits your level of expertise. You can find one in toys-r-us. Now, no need to thank me.

Re: laptops

depends!!! what do you want to use it for…? IMHO… I would recommend either IBM (R and T series) or Dell (any model). If you are leaning towards Toshiba then go for TECRA. Had a worse experience with HP/Compaq not buying their notebooks anymore, hence, not recommended either.

Re: laptops

yeah chorni I agree with CB on this one, which is very rare… now CB also tell her which shelf she should look into and what make you find the best??

Re: laptops

Here u go: Dell 700m (Computers, Monitors & Technology Solutions | Dell USA)

Re: laptops

yea Cb how thoughtful, im sure you speak from experience anyways. if it can suit you then who am i to question it

IMHO? :konfused:

for toshiba, someone recommended Toshiba Satellite

lol :hehe:

yea actually someone recommended dell700m and/or 600m

but 700m is smaller yea?

Re: laptops

Toshiba is very good.

I would prefer to get it from a store than from Dell, only because if it breaks down, you'd have to ship it and it'll take time before you could actually get it back.

Whatever, you go for, please get extended full-coverage warranty. It'll come handy.

Re: laptops

if ur in continental north america try this one http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=328883&pfp=cat3
