I want to buy one, but since I’m going to Pakistan in july insh’Allah, i was thinking if it’d cheaper for me to get one there.. compared to Holland.
And is it possible to get them with guarantee?
Also i want to get internet on it.. some suggestions about how i’m gonna get it on the laptop?

My guess is that it may be more expensive to buy a laptop from Pakistan. Unlike desktop computers that are assembled in every computer shop in Pak, laptops are imported in, and unlikely to be cheaper. Plus, you may not have a wide variety to choose from, either.

I would suggest u get ur laptop from holland. Here you can't even be sure if the laptop is brand new. There are only a couple of shops in Lahore who deal with laptops. since there is no serious competition, the customer suffers as a result.
p.s. if u want to get a desktop, U should get one from here.

I only got a bargain once in pakistan (IBM t40) 12,000 ruppees. However comparing prices in the U.K or US its far better to buy from places other then pakistan.

Its better NOT to buy electronix in pakistan. The things they can do - is almost unimgainable here. They can swap cheap parts, use wood etc (seen it first hand).

Decided not to buy one there anyway. Have been adviced by other people aswell to just buy it in Holland.

Get your laptop locally. I wouldn't trust a Pakistani shop with any computer equipment, let alone a laptop. Buying one locally can ensure that you have a proper warranty.

If you are buying Desktop or its part then Pakistan is great place, but not laptop. If u are really interested, dont buy it from shop but ring HP/Compaw sales office (I know they are near Hafiz centre), they are little bit cheaper than Europe provide same serivce/warrantry like Europe but the problem is .. that warranty is only available in Pakistan/Middle East & u wont be living in PK for one year after buying it.
Buying straight from the company is good deal my uncle bought a NC6000 (HP) couple of years back and he is still using it without any problems, he upgraded RAM in it & HP didn't even charge him for labour.

btw, there are sites which post great deals as soon someone finds them. I know for Canada / US but i am sure if you contact my friend GOOGLE , he will let you know your local sites
