Re: laptopppppp
You could also buy used if you look. I got a good deal on alienware that way.
I don’t know about dell, as aside from quality issues in their consumer line (even my mac has had couple of issues), the indian cushtomer service is terrible! I ended up getting a $200 discount right away when I called to cancel my dell order compared to the “indian special” which wasn’t lower than what they had at the site. The off shore agents were pests as well as they would keep calling you even though you tell them that you are done with dell and moving to some other manufacturer.
There are ~$300-400 Acer machines, but you get what you pay for with the cheap plastic frames, hinges etc. You could go to the business line of laptops (lenovo, sony or even hp), but you have to tell us first what you would be doing with it? HP, for example, gives free blu-ray upgrades these days but are you just going to need it for writing papers and surfing? I, for example, have a preference for anti-glare screens and watch movies on my laptop, so a DVD drive is pretty standard for me that rules out Air and the new intel Mac Air alternatives.
Which computers have 3.3 Ghz processors on the market? I only know of laptops that could come with it, though even Mac Pro is 8 cores but not 3.3 Ghz per core. I wonder if you are talking about turbo boosting?
