i own a Acer 5630 laptop. one fine morning it gave me the error that operating system not found. this was followed by my network’s card name Broadcom Inc 2000 - 2004 all rights reserved. i thght it was windows usual “format me” message. so i tried to format from my windows cd but to my horror the cd drive wasnt working either!
i connected my harddrive thru a USB external drive to a PC but all my data was intact! so i backupped all my data and formatted C drive but still no use. i even placed another drive but still no use.
suggestionS?? so i can stop bugging my pal to let me use his pc to get on gupshup>? plzz?
It looks like a hardware error to me. Might be some thing wrong with mother board as your system is not detecting the hardware attached.
BIOS can be a problem … umm … but i don’t think so.
Anyways, just send it back to Acer and tell them to fix it for you. You might not want to fix all the hardware issues with it. But is it on a warranty?
bro acer pakistan moved to dubai this year!! just when i had to get my laptop fixed! and yea the warranty expired 5 months back. yes ofcourse its a hardware problem.
yea but how can BIOS be fixed i am willing to fix that as well???
