Out of curiosity, what exactly is wrong with Lalukhet or people residing in Lalukhet and everything else associated with it? I’ve often heard Khi-tes dissing others and calling them ‘Lalukhetis’.

You can never win an argumement against a Lalukheti because the language would leave no room for argument and would head immediately south...
They are very good people as long as you are good with them...Woebetide the person who irks a Lalukheti for he'll get a mouthful...Literally...

watch late 80's - early 90's theatre shows of Umer Shareef as "Bakra QistoN pe" and "Buddha ghar pe hai" and you will know what Lajawab exactly means :D

This can be said about many areas of Pakistna. Lalukhet is not the only one. FOr example, Golimar or Orangi Town. You won’t find any difference between a person from Golimar and Lalukhet in anyway. And it has to do with literacy rate of the area. So please do not single out Lalukhet, or Golimar.
The reason Liaquatabad (Lalukhet) has become more famous is Umar Sharif’s dramas. He was the first one who started making fun of Lalukhet. But I am sure he himself did not know that his maligning will make that place notorious all over Pakistan. Because he himself used to live there.
Today, people from Liaquatabad know that violence will bring them nothing. Now they are again concentrating in improving their lives. I am telling this from experience because there is a friend of mine who lives in Liaquatabad No. 10 chowrangi, famous for its furniture market. Haqiqi has now been uprooted from there.
