**SEHWAN SHARIF: The ongoing heatwave in Sehwan Sharif claimed six more lives, bringing the death toll to 24 since Thursday, at the Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, Express 24/7 reported on Friday.

Despite the hot and humid weather, thousands of devotees swarmed to Sehwan Sharif to take part in the Urs.
According to Edhi welfare sources, four out of the six who died are women, whereas, reportedly, three of the people who died belonged to Karachi while others came from various districts of Punjab.
According to the incharge of Edhi emergency team at Sehwan, Meeraj Muhammad, said 11 people have been buried by the volunteers of the welfare system.
Earlier, 47 devotees, en route to Sehwan Sharif from Faisalabad were injured as the van they were travelling in overturned on the National Highway near Ghotki.
However, no deaths were reported in the incident.

Yes sad indeed. This happens every year.
Government should make Sehwan a green city by building huge parks and planting a number of trees arround Sehwan. Bring water from Manchar or from Indus river and store in huge reservior near Sehwan to meet the water requirement. Encroachment near Mazar should be clear out and they should be provided alternate place far from Mazar. Whole Mazar should be air-conditioned and government should build inns all around the Sehwan with adequate trasnportation. A big hospital equipped with modern equipment is need of the time. Visitors should be charged fee coming from all over the world to maintain mazar and infrastructures.
A great pir Lal Shahbaz Qalindar also known as Usman Marwandi, came to this poor and deserted part of Sindh from Aazar Bhaijan Russia to spread Islam. The great thing about this Pir is every one, Muslims or non-Muslims accept him as their Pir and savior. Perhaps no one has ever left empty handed from darbar of this great pir, and man of Allah.

^^Did Hazrat Usman marwandi ever charge any fee from the people visiting him in his life time ? why charge now ? this is totally against the message of sufiism ...
Maintaining the infrastructure is the responsibility of the state .... kindly let it be a Mazar - refrain from spreading the ideas of making it a picnic place :)

Looks like you are very ignorant. Do you have any idea why millions still visit Lal Shahbaz every year even in hot, dry, desert with scarcity of water and basic amenities? Mind you these millions include educated and uneducated. Making this place more safe and accessible to basic amenties does not mean making it a picnic spot. Before oil was found in SA, the rulers also collected fees from visiting hajis all over the world to maintain sacred sanctuaries.
