[FONT="]I honestly believe that Govt and Army. have been retraining themselves from taking any action to (i) expose the Lal Masjid tactics and extent of their lawlessness so enough public pressures builds up against lal masjid, and (ii) wait until after the election to take a strong action so as not to allow cheap Pakistani politicians exploit the situation for their own gains. However, I just wish that the Musharraf decided to not care about retaining power, and cleaned up the entire place (and Wazirastan too while he’s at it).

Im talking about the months leading up to this... The parents of these girls choose to leave them in that terrorsits camp, and now this is the result. And whats even worse is that no one in the madrassa was mature and wise enough to see this coming and get the children out...
Again, i am pretty sure that (some)people must have tried to take their kids out and at that Point Madrissa people would pushed them away by using religious Blackmailing by saying that Whats the point of sending the kids to learn about the deein if u were going to take'em out when they are part of fight for deein.

You my friend are engaging in 'Idol Worship' right now. A masjid is nothing but a building if it's being used for unlawful, and anti-Islamic acts. But to you, that building is more important than purity of your own religion.

Masjids built illegaly arent masjids... Lal Mosque is itself built on illegaly occupied land..
In other words, they stole land and built the madrassa illegaly.

Maybe... I dont know.. At this point the road leading to the place are sealed of... If the situation settles down, perhaps they will allow parents to come in and remove their kids... I think the security forces are trying to prevent any more people from coming in for security reasons.
I dont doubt the blackmail part on the madrassa though, but thats even more reason for them to be dispised.

Thatsa very tricky thing too...lets say if the Govt allows a two hour window for people to go to Masjid to take their kids out and 20-30 people show up claiming that they are here to take their daughters/sons out of there....out of thos 20/30 what if u have 5-7 trained terrorists who walk in the masjid and strnegthen the masjid force?.

thats the whole idea imo. in the previous election, the post 9-11 sentiment got the mullahs into the assemblies and they played a wonderfull B-team to the army. this time around, our govt will create so much mayhem that the ignoramus will elect the mullahs yet again. mushy, as before, can play the taliban card to keep the west in his pockets.
