a more appropriate question would be what kind of madrassah students are these and how much fire power do they have to be able to hold off a full SSG assault for 36 hours.

That is called 'spin'.
These militants are exactly the type of people special forces are used for.
It is a SSG assault, the plan they came up with did not work well.
Facts- dozen SSG dead,including the commander, dozens more shot, and who knows how many hostages killed.

No need to flatter yourself. Nobody said that you'd "heroically" subdue the bad guys. You'd (correction) *try to *subdue them by spreading propaganda, like you try to do here; for good measure throw in one or two songs of love and devotion as well.

According to the BBC website - army has 95% control; still not 100% in control even after 24 hours of start of the operation.
May have control by this evening or tomorrow.

Yes totally agreed.
Were not these special forces used in the Tribal Areas such as Wana - and were given really hard time with plenty of soldiers killed.
