Hmm...God knows...would be intersting to know detailsof the last few minutes, even hours...but I hope nobody comes up with "he was giving up..." crap now...he was given a 100 opportunities and options and he didn't agree! So none should make a fuss abt what may have *happened in the last minutes or how he *may have surrendered and agreed to become a good Samaritan after the last minute...

Reports are he got killed while he was trying to surrender ... you son of a b*, why couldnt yuo do that a week earlier..

(although I like this ending, because while we might have lost some innocnet blood, we have also killed (not allowed to go away) some 50-60 high profile terrorists along with about a 100 terrorists in training).

I dont believe, for one minute, that he was in total control inside the mosque. There were groupings and he might have surrendererd otherwise.

Remember one important thing: the whole reason, the ONLY reason why this operation is being carried out is to SAVE LIVES. If the forces wanted to kill these people indiscriminately, they would have simply fired a missile or dropped a bomb, and this operation would have been over in 10 seconds and NOT 10 hours.

Before comparing pak forces to others, just keep in mind that the only reason pak forces is taking casualties is to save lives of those women and children. This is indeed a thankless job, and unfortunately not many people will appreciate the fact that every single person who walks out of this compound alive owes his/her life to the forces gallantry.

I have seen TV interviews of relatives of those inside and they said they got calls from their relatives insdie telling them that they can't leave because they are not being allowed to.

**MMA announces 3-day mourning against mosque operation **

ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Majalis-e-Amal (MMA) has announced three-day mourning against the Lal Masjid operation.

The religious parties alliance Tuesday taken the decision in a meeting of MMA parliamentary party in Islamabad. Deputy Secretary General of the alliance Liaquat Baloch presided over the meeting.

Talking to Geo News after the meeting Baloch said that countrywide protest day will be observed against the Lal Masjid operation on July 11 and 12.

The alliance will hold demonstrations and ulema conventions in all provinces against the operation in Islamabad, he added.
