I would be surprised if htey haven't already done that. Not SSG per say, but I am sure army folks must have installed some bugs and placed some spies within Lal Masjid and are aware of their strengths and their plans!
If they could manage that, then I would be really impressed... But doesnt seem likely, how in the heck would they have gotten passed the Maulanas guard dogs, im sure they know each and everyone of the people at the madrassa intimately...

some channels reporting that an action is planned for around 3 am tonight. two and half hours from now. Allah khair!
What does worry me is that Lal Masjid's guns were in the hands of 15/16 year old young Mullahs hostage to their religious adrenaline. They are bound to "defend" with some blind shooting in the dark and cause more unnecessary damage than an actual gunfight between two trained groups should. The mullahs or the media is not pointing out the age or sex of Lal Masjid fighters right now, but when they get injured and killed, there is bound to be plenty of fake outcry over the deaths of "women and children."

My view, nation has to be ready to deal with suicide attacks in the country by other idiots. I hope that momentum from this operation is carried forward and force is used to dismantle other such hubs as well.

and what is the deal with ppl saying oh girls should be protected, how long has this draam being goign on for. On this very forum we discussed the news about parents taking their daughters out. so whoever is there now is someone whose family either agrfeed with the stance of lal masjid, or who did not want to leave.
yes they should try to keep casualties to a minimum but not at the expense of exposing law enforcement personnel to additional danger.

For me an equally grave sight was seeing small girls walking in burqas with dandas in their hands and gun-carrying brethern on their sides. Lets see how events unfold in coming hours.

Well, Pakistan government should announce that they have decided to implement the demand of Lal Mandir retards as most media channels are in their favour. So, first implementation would be on media.
Thus, from tomorrow all women presenter and any women shown on television media, that includes all women in drama and advertisements, should be in Ninja dress. Similarly, all men that come on television, be they Presenter, Guests, Advertisements, or Dramas, should have beard at least 10 inches long.
If any electronic media (TV channels) from tomorrow would show a woman not in Ninja dress or man without beard (at least 10 inches long), their license would get cancelled. Further, from tomorrow if that happens, government literally should do that too, that is cancel the license of these TV channels. I am sure that in couple of weeks, all channels would come to their senses.
Although it would be considered a gimmick, I think (in all seriousness) that Government SHOUDL impose these restrictions for one week, with an explanation (to local and international media) that THIS is what we are fighting against.
(on a lighter note, after not getting their soaps for a whole week, all the pakistani auntis are bound to take the street against Lal Masjid without any encouragement :d )

True… Alot of the remianing girls are from very strict conservative families themselves… Yesterdays DAWN had an interview with a Hafsa school parent who warned that if Musharaf harmed their daughter, then they would send out even more daughters to wage Jihad… 
Look how far this country has come… When it was created it bas a liberal moderate state and now we have people threatening to send thier daughters for Jihad.. Sick!
