Well, unfortunately, the Mullah who you say ISNT a Mullah, apparently is... He has all the qualifications to be a Mullah, and his followers and the many millions of other Muslims in Pakistan recognize people such as this as being mullahs. So you shouldnt be pissed of at us who ridicule these people, but at them, who have disgraced Islam.. I really dont understand why you arent more vocal in condemning these people. They have really tarnished your relgion beyond recognition.
And there is already a large Mosque in Islamabad, its called the Faisal Mosque, along with hundreds of others scattered across the city and Rawalpindi... Some of the moques are within a mile of each other infact... I bet there are more mosques then schools and hospitals combined! Mosques really are the Star bucks of Pakistan, if you dont like one, go to the other one just across the street. This whole clamor over mosques is simply nonsense.

A large masjid that is built on legally obtained land, and built to code and being used for the purposes that it should be, is indeed a blessing for any area that it is in.
Masajid built on illegal land, or being used for purposes other than for what the permits were for is a problem.
I agree with you. the land should be returned without any harm to building to its owner. then it is upto owner to do what he/she wants to do with the building.

the tullas were released after police and rangers cordoned off jamia fareedia and gave the administration 15 minutes to release the policemen. They were released and everything died down.
i am still holding my judgement on all of this. the govt. might be reluctant to take action in front of the media..keeping in mind the violence in karachi. I think indecision will be costly at this stage.
