Roman itnaa takkalluf??
Personally, I think clothes should be optional for t/ bride and ofcourse t/ groom as well. This way there will be no doubt whatsoever as to who 's who and what!

Exactly my point. Bhaee clothes optional cheez hai, pehneiN ya na pehneiN.

Swear upon your honor Romeo!

** THANK YOU **

Re: Lal Joora!

Nia never wear any other colour .Its very auspiscious & suhag colour .Otherwise there is chance of early widow hood :eek:Another reason is Menare BULL and if you dont showe red colour they are going to charge towards the nearest saheli wearing even little bit red:rocket:

Like everyone said..that its origin goes back to india..that's what i read too..

i always wanted to wear white/off white one..but hamari aik nahi chal pai coz people around me got this concept of white as death..window related thing..

i was afraid kay how the red color will look on me..i thought kay i'll look like a churail.. the dress that i got from my susral was red..and it looked great on me (according to people).

now for rukhsati..its very simple..and its pastel green..

Nia baji...well aaj kal tu ladkian apney favorite color ka shaadi ka jorta kahreedti hein. People actually dont like red anymore. But then if it suits you why not just wear it. My uncle's bride last year had a light pink jora , my khala had a sea green one. So it actually no big deal. Although my other khala had a red one but she is really white so she lookes really pretty in it :~)

My parents got maried 22 yrs ago and my mom had a pinkish orange jora not a red one.

I think you should wear a color that you like and think will suit you better than red.

and yeah one more thing nia baji.....I am sure you are sensible enough to know that wearing a specific color has nothing to do with how the rest of your life is gonna be.

Like sikh's try to keep white color as far as posiible on a wedding day because for them its a color of mourning. but in our weddings most of the men wear white shalwar kameez and I am pretty sure that all those weddings are not afat zada...:-)

my sister wore yellow :)

my bridal dress was tomato red.........n though i always go for light colours i liked this red too........
for waleema i had golden+olive green n it was also great

but everybody told me afterwards red was really looking great on me .....n me too noticed it that bright colours look really great on brides.....depends on taste n choice etc. ......u are free to choose but i will recommend bright n lively colours

yar these days girls wear whatever color they like but i feel like dulhan ko surkh laal jora hi zeb deta hae :-)

Pehle din se he khatoon red jora pehen kar clear kar deti hain ke the buck stops here!

:stuck_out_tongue:

PS: Definately, novel shades or red/maroon should be it! :k:

I agree but how come Mullah's always teach hoor-concept aur woh bhi 70 / mullah!

Red comes from Hindu traditions. lal-jora looks nice but its ones own choice.
