We went to watch it today. He thought it was good. I thought it was amazing. If you can do the suspension of disbelief thing well and just realize that it is a really good love story, you’ll enjoy it. It’s kinda like a cloudy, dreamy love story fantasy type thing.
Plus, keanu is hott :love:

One of the most stupid movies that I have seen by far. Don;t even know where to begin trashing it. If you are going to show them living in different times and communicating with eachother is 2 yrs really effective? Other than Keanu reeves and Sandra bullock's hair I didn;t like anything about the movie.

It is an okay-ish story. More on the lines of 'just like heaven'. A good time pass.

I liked the movie for its symbolism... David Auburn does a good job in bringing emotional resonance in the charecters of Alex and Kate... Alex being Kate's regrets of roads not taken, and Kate being his promise of a better tomorrow.

Besides the metaphor though, there's a lot to be desired in terms of plot and logic.

The movie did remind me of "Frequency"with Dennis Quaid where there's a radio and not a mailbox acting as a portal to allow characters to communicate over a timeline.

this is copy of a Hallmark hall if fame movie released in 98.
I absolutely loved that movie. If you watch it, it will make more sense because they had different way of communicating(letters) and they were 134 years apart. They fell in love through letters even though they never saw each other…just like modern day chatting :wink: :smiley:
