Lahore Tailors and Embroidery...(Or Islamabad, Sarghoda, etc)

Salaam,

I was just wondering which place is best to get wedding outfits made. Also who are some really good tailors in Liberty? My cousin goes to this guy named Javed, his shop is located near bareeza but he seems really busy and a little complicated. Also which place is really good to get embroidery done in Lahore? Has anyone gotten any outfits or wedding lengha’s made from designers in Lahore such as HSY, Asifa and Nabeel, Lajwanti, etc?
Thanks

anyone got any advice for islamabad tailors????

AOA,

well i'm from rawalpindi. There are some good shops in kamran market and F-10 markaz.

Are u from islamabad too?

Actually I'm coming to isb/pindi in december...last time i did my embroidary from the bazaars in pindis , and from the karachi market (by G9)..i want to try somethign different....any idea will be great..thanks!!!!!

I know there are a lot more guppies from Pakistan...give me some helpful information..plz :)

what sort of good information u want....! i think everybody told u to the best of their knowledge. secondly it depends on one choice too. some ppl r crazy abt bareeze....but i would prefer one dress from there caz to me the fabric "chicken" is all the same, whether its on lawn, organza, shiffon, velvet.....but i know ppl who make 5-10 dresses from this shop for their wedding.

similarly in kamran market, f-10, liberty, gulf there r tens of shops but u have to look for designs urself. i gave my dresses to be made here and there, with most of the ppl it was first time experience but they took too long, and i had to visit them couple of times to scold them.

and to avoid all this, and if u have limited time u can get things ready made.....and even in US there r ppl who r into business....the shops boutiques r too expensive but i know a couple of ppl here who do this business from home and they get selected things from pakistan and sell them at reasonable prices......$45 to $100.

and these days even in pakistan $30-$40 is an average rate for a ready made dress.

secondly u want to go to lhr/pindi/isl for shopping i can give u more specific names.

TC AH

more information regarding where to possibly get wedding lenghas made..like I heard some people got their lengha made from lajwanti..but I am sure there are other places too...so just tell what u know.

AOA,

i would say lajwanti, mariaB , and all other designers....to go to them is actually a waste of money. i also got my lehnga from designer but it was for $500 approx....and the second one for $300 but the were reallly really good, i can send u pics of dresses if u don't trust me.

to me its actually a waste of money to spend $1500-$2000....when there r good things available for lesser price too.

these designers in Pindi/isl like mariab, ayesha's, Rimmal they have this highhhhhhhhh pricing, and also fashion ka ghar on murree road.

mohsin sons has two branches one is in moti bazar and other new one on muree road near chandni chawk....this murree road branch has god variety but the prices r too high.....i got mine from moti bazar branch, caz there u can fight a lot......

so the art is that u go to their shop and keeping asing to show more designs....its like 3-6 hrs job for wedding dress......and u will definitely find something unique ...their work is really good and i think they copy the designers designs too and u can get them cheaper from there and is they start at 60,000Rs u should be able to finalize it around 30,000-35,000Rs

Khan variety on Muree road chanddni chowk has good collection....thingsr very unique and really really nice, they r expensive but Faishion ka ghar is too expensive. but this khan variety is good for formal clothes and not for wedding dresses.

i have an auntie i pakistan who takes certain amount, like $200 and she would take u to all the places in pindi/islamabad whee u can do shadee shopping, and she knows the exact places for jewelry and clothing.....this is her business , but its really helpful for the ppl who go there to pakistan for shopping and can't negotiate with the shopkeepers and with can't find good places.

i hope this should be enough.....best of luck:)

^ I do not agree that saying Fashion Ka Ghar is too expensive....the prices you listed for shadi lenghas 30-35000...i got my valima lengha from there for 25000...which is a lot less..of course they told us like 55 000, but my saas is one helluva bargainer....how she managed to get it down to 25000 is beyond me. and the thing i like is that they make EXACTLY what you say....i went to a few other places in pindi for shopping..and EVERYTIME i told them to make it a certain way, colour, style....the tailors would alwasy add their two cents in to the final outfit....(their excuses saying it wuold look better this way...didnt have the material..blah blah blah....they are too unprofessional)..but with shadi ka ghar, it was the exact thing..and im a VERY picky person in terms of clothes....of course they aint cheap, but they are also not expensive....more reasonably priced...and their quality counts too...

Is Fashion Ka Ghar in Lahore? And if it is where in Lahore is it?

well fashion ka ghar is in pindi on murree road, very renowned shop.

Heard about Babar? Bridel shop in Lahore! Its really good shop...
