There is tons of info available on this project. Looks like even i know more than anyone else on this thread.
For those who are complaining about the buses and how pakistan is not able to do it. First pakistan has never even made a bike engine (like most of the world) then to expect them to make a full fledged bus is stupidity. Sometimes things are just cheaper to buy then to reinvet the wheel. And that too articulated buses.
And what turkey helped is in the BRT system not just in buses. Its not easy and requires high level of training and different culture.
Biggest thing pakistan or SS has to worry about is to keep an eye on where is their money going. Initially turkey was donating 45 used buses but later on they got articulated buses. This system is still not self sustaining and mostly built as with huge extravenza. Ahmedabad BRT is the only BRTS in the sub continent which is self sustaining.
Rest like lahore, delhi, indore, jaipur, rajkot etc etc are dependent on govt funding.
