Protesting is fine and should be encouraged and supported. It shows that Pakistan is strong enough to tolerate dissent.
What is wrong is how the MMA is preparing to use force to disrupt the race. Using force to enforce your religious view on others is a very slippery slope in a country like Pakistan where many different fiqhs and schools of Muslims exist. You cannot have a situation where anyone is free to use force to change the way someone acts, because then everyone will be trying to force each other to do things differently and chaos will result.
So therefore, I hope anyone who tries to break the law when the race happens gets tear-gassed and lathi charged.
