thank you… acutally the big day isn’t set yet. we’ll see maybe next year inshallah. I’m not too worried abt the inlaws b/c its my mom’s family… my inlaws love me more than their own son.. so I have nothing to fear. Do you live in Toronto now? how long have you been here? I think I’ll be living in PK after the wedding. That’s why i want to see more of what it looks like.

Oh goody, the fear ppl normally have that, would they be able to adjust down there. But, in your case you seem to be prominent in ur decision to move down there, thats very good. I was raised here actually, and yes I am still living in Toronto. In my case he will come here, he doesn’t think I am capable of living down there. Or at least, if I start living down there, ppl might start moving elsewhere :D. Lahore is a gr8 city, I loved it. When I went there I didn’t want to come back.

oh so your married… i guess you still have to do rukhsati right? When I tell ppl that I’m planning on living there… they’r totally blown away by it cuz i’ve lived here my whole life. But I really think that its really dependent on the people - not the place. And if you find a good HUSBAND, your set. I’ve been to pakistan before so it won’t be a total shock for me, plus my parents have always been kinda traditional so again - there’s no surprises there. And my parents havn’t forced any decisions on us - after shadi we can decide where we want to live.
Did you have an arranged marriage or love marriage? And is he from your family or not? When does he plan on coming here? and What part of gulberg is he from?

The Minar-e-Pakistan is a tall structure of concrete that was built in Iqbal Park in Lahore, Pakistan.
This is the site where in 1940, seven years before the formation of Pakistan, the Muslim League passed the Lahore resolution in which the need for a separate homeland for the muslims of India was finally recognized.
