does anyone know of good hotels/motels with no funky business going on over there … some place safe for foreigners to live at … something like 30-40 euros MAX per night …

The Ashiana Motel in Lahore is good one. Its near Fortress Stadium and well within your range.

Check “Hotel One”, a chain of ‘watered down’ hotels by Pearl Continental. No facilities (like gym or swimming pool) but comfortable and safe as PC.

I think Pakistani hotels are the only hotels that don't put rates on thier websites. It's very inconvenient and annoying, you have to send enquiry and then wait for thier reply.

Hi guys, I'm in pakistan now, i'm staying at this hotel called " Kalash Hotel" it's in gulberg II, somewhere near mini market. it's a guest house type hotel. The price is quite reasonable, i don't know about the dirty business, but it's very quite, not many people coming in and out, it's my second day here.
