The Lahore High Court, taking up a plea seeking ban on telecasting controversial song “Nach Punjaban Nach” summoned Abrar ul Haq in person for January 14. The court directed the petitioner’s counsel to ensure the compliance of the court order. Earlier, the counsel for PEMRA appearing before the court submitted that the PEMRA was unable to restrain cable channels from telecasting the song. On it, the court said that it was its (PEMRA) duty to stop the cable operators. However, the court directed the counsel to file reply on next hearing. The petitioner submitted that the respondent twice gave undertaking before the court that he will not sing the song in future but he was still singing the same in private functions in Pakistan and abroad.
god, that was frekin’ two years ago this controversy arose and still these ppl are gettin’ on abrar’s case. Let it go for cying out loud it’s just a song.
