First before I get slammed for repeating a post that I’m sure is all over paklinks, I just want to say in my defense, most of those posts are old and prices/opinions etc are no longer applicable
So, I’m getting married in October 2013 in Lahore (I live in the US). I’ve done my own research on lahore bridal parlors BUT would still like opinions from the experts (you guys).
Requirements for makeup - HEAVY eyeliner, natural base (I have neither light nor dark skin), rosy cheeks, and NO chapping of lips whatsoever
So, I’ve crossed the following parlors/MUAs off my list
-Mariam Khawaja - So I really wanted to go with Mariam first. BUT then the more and more I saw pics of her brides, the more I realized I wasn’t going to like her makeup. Her brides have really light eyeliner and my eyes just can’t take that. Plus, she’s charging like over 50,000 for one day, so that’s kind helped with my decision.
-Madeeha’s - My cousin got her makeup done here for her wedding and I wasn’t impressed. Personally, I felt like they made her look like a ghost with red lips.
-New Looks - This is for really the price (64000 for one day!)
-Uzma’s - This is purely for location. My wedding will be at the PC which is on the other side of lahore basically from uzma’s. So, factoring in traffic, and the 10 PM hall closure, I just don’t need that kind of stress on my wedding day. I personally love the makeup.
Potentials:
-Nikki’s - Really love the eye makeup they do
-Maheen’s Bridal Salon and Spa - It looks like this is a fairly new place so I haven’t heard any reviews. I do love the bridal pics that have been posted on the FB page: Facebook. My only concern is that they are so new and I haven’t heard any reviews or anything, so I’d really love some opinions.
-The Dresser - Facebook (again, haven’t heard any reviews on these guys but do like their makeup on their fb page)
-Khawar Riaz - reviews anyway?

Oh wow, you've scared me now. I was thinking of going to mariam or madeeha. And don't worry about posting a topic again. Ive been fooled many times because i didn't look at the date and thought the prices are the same only to find out that the post was years old. :-)

Mariam isn't terrible...I just rather not pay that much for makeup i'm not absolutely in love with. Maybe her real brides are better? I just don't trust all those airbrushed pics online. That's what I really like about Uzma. She has pics of real brides and the makeup looks amazing plus her prices are a lot reasonable!!

Though i am not associated with mariam khawaja in anyway but i always loved her make-up. Madeeha’s and Depilex are always risky choices i must say. And here is New Look’s Bride:

Personally I love Mariam but if you like heavy eyes then go for allenora. Khawar riaz salon is in defence too so your best bet would be to choose a place in Gulberg.

Thanks for all the help ladies! @raania, I've heard so many horror stories about allenora that i didn't even consider them... :-/..i'm really wondering if i want to just take the chance and do it at uzma's...the more pics I see..the more I really love her makeup...

dear .. madeeha's make up is not too much harsh ... n when u will goo for booking they will asking u every thing about ur make up like wht kind of eyes u want ,ur dress color , ur lipstick etc..... so u can go with it ... my wedding is held on 13th april 2013 ... so its my personal experience tht they deal with u every nicely n do makeup according to ur demand .. so u should b visit once before booking

i've looked at uzma's stuff and it looks really good too!. I really want the perfect red lip. Who would you guys recomend for that?

lol i didn't mean to turn anyone off of madeeha's..i just wasn't impressed by cousin's makeup...but yeah..i'd love some opinions! btw, I decided to just go with Uzma's bc I'm really in love with the makeup she does..

Im getting married in October too. And I had madeeha's and mariam's on my list. But i didnt consider them after checking out their prices. Allenora is a no-no for me! Its a bride manufacturing company. All brides go in an assembly line!
Sooo.. I went with Uzma's in DHA. My event will be in model town club most probably. But the traffic and all is not so much of a hassle.
Maybe you and me will get to share the makeup experience in uzmas if our dates are the same ;)

I have seen two brides by him in person and the makeup was superb! I just worry about the hair styling (all his brides have simple back-combed hair and a round joora).

Go to Sabs in Lahore (near mini market/tehzeeb).. It is well known in Karachi and the Lahore salon is good too! My friend got her makeup from there. Great base, amazing eye makeup with a gorgeous bold eyeliner and very pretty cheeks and glossy lips. Her experience was good overall; friendly staff and peaceful salon.
She went to Maryam Khwaja on the walima and said it was like a bride manufacturing assembly line - she was there from 12 to 6:30..sitting idle amongst 10-12 other brides, waiting for her turn.
