Retired Australian stars such as Michael Kasprowicz, Damien Martyn and Jason Gillespie were named in the squads announced by the unofficial Indian Cricket League for its Grand Championships. The event which starts on March 9 features eight teams - including one consisting entirely of Pakistan players - up from the six in the inaugural Twenty20 tournament held last December in Panchkula.
Re: Lahore Badshahs comprising of Pakistani players to feature in ICL Grand Champ'shi
Definitely, stars to look out for the future. Selectors should keep a close eye on national heroes and country's fastest bowlers. The future of Pakistan looks just fantastic.
Re: Lahore Badshahs comprising of Pakistani players to feature in ICL Grand Champ'shi
I'm surprised Saqlain Mushtaq decided to jeopardize his England and county career. He would've been eligible to play for England in April. And now he likely won't be able to play for his county either, because ECB is cracking down on ICL players. Or will he avoid crackdown because he's now a local not a foregin player?
Re: Lahore Badshahs comprising of Pakistani players to feature in ICL Grand Champ'shi
^ It doesnt matter whether Saqlain is considered a foreign or local player. ECB has clearly stated any player who signs up for the ICL will not be eliglble to play for England and county cricket as well.
Its sad to see Saqlain signing up with ICL just to make a few extra bucks...with him being elgible to play for England from April, I think he would have had a very good chance of getting picked considering England's spin bowling resources.
Re: Lahore Badshahs comprising of Pakistani players to feature in ICL Grand Champ'shi
Am I the only loser sorta excited about watching the Badshahs play tomorrow. I heard Kiran More claiming that Badshahs is a better side than the current Pakistan team. I think that Badshahs will probably beat the current Pakistan team atleast in the T20 format.

He is at the tail-end of his career. Let him make some money. For old geezers like Saqlain who are probably way past their expiration date (figuratively speaking, of course), ICL is god-send.

saw the last few overs and i have to admit that it was more fun than what i had thought...Inzi was not connecting the ball the Naveed went crazy and after his wicket inzi just took lahore through

That was a good match ... But I still dont understand why
Imran Nazir jeopardized his international cricket to play in ICL.
I dont think this can hurt international cricket carrier of a player. It should draw more attention of PCB on these players and make Pakistanis convince of having a proper own league (PCL) as well.
