what are the best places to go shopping, mainly in Lahore?? for like not too average clothing, but not like designer stufff…I mean I dont’ wanna brign back garbage, I wanna brign clothes that I know i will get a compliment wearing 
Fortress in Lahore had really nice kapre like that..but r there any other places??

well , i was never a resident in lahore ...but spent some golden years there in hostel ....
dunno much ....but i think liberty is a good place ....n main market gulberg too , ...if you want ready made stuff then go to liberty/fortress ....but if you want to get dresses with embroidery etc. of your choice ...then go to main market in gulberg ,....n origa complex(sp?) is also a good place
never been to karachi ...so don't know !:)

Tariq road in karachi is amazing. Dolmen centre there is worth checking out. And then you always have your Zainab Market.
what kind of shopping r u interested in? u can find very nice trendy wear specially if u want to bring them back here, in Liberty and Fortress stadium plus there r some nice shops in Defence Y block.If u r looking for typical embroidered stuff u can check it out in the Dupatta galee in Liberty right next to the good old variety books corner.The boutique by the name of Generation is another place to have a look at althoughi have never found anything very interesting there but sometimes one can be lucky.If u r interested in Lawns ,there is avery fine one by the name of Mausummary and it is at display at the supermarket in Mainmarket by the name of Jalal Sons.
If u r looking for unstitched material u can always check out Auriga ,next to Main market ,Gulberg OR the good old Shadman.I can write tons on this so if there is anything particular u r interested in do let m eknow...gosh i still remember and miss everything so much!

The places you just mentioned makes me think you went to Home Economics or KC. Just a guess:)
~Tikhi Jalebi~ in Lahore check out Panorama center. They have a lot of clothing stores. Benn out of Lahore for so long now cant think of anything else and dont know much about Karachi.
