Lahore after 15 years - need shopping suggestions

Finally going to visit Lahore after 15 years for only a short 10 day trip. Will have a 2-3 days for shopping only.

Please advise on some good places to visit for the following:

Ready-made stylish clothes for partywear in the mid-designer range: was planning to visit Nickie Nina, Khaadi Pret, Bareeze, Chinyere, Sana Safinaz, Maria B, Mina Hasan, PFDC, So Komal and just stroll around Gulberg, Liberty and Alam Road -and browse various shops? Any specific “don’t miss” shops?

Jewelry - I’m looking for artificial jewelry that can be worn in the office back in US and also at parties. Not too ethnic, more of the gemstone look like the new Alexis Bittar collection, Nordstrom, department style look. These pieces usually sell for at least $100 each in US. Are there any recommendations for this style in Lahore? Someone mentioned Silver Queen in Liberty

Shoes - I have always heard Pakistan has beautiful shoes but the quality is not good. Has this changed? Are there comfortable shoes available? I"m hoping to find nice party shoes.

Purses- any recommendations for where I can find pretty purses?

Would like to purchase some good fabrics and have them made into tunics I can use for work. Can anyone recommend a couple good tailors in Gulberg or Liberty that can make stylish designs and are very professional?

Home goods: I’m looking for modern placemats.

Thank you so much for your help.

Re: Lahore after 15 years - need shopping suggestions

It would be so exciting for you to visit after 15 years and Lahore has enormously changed in these years.

For partywear just go to M.M.Alam Road, The Mall of Lahore or Defence Y block market you can find good stuff. If you want relatively affordable stuff then Fortress stadium has some of the good shops as Decor and Miss Soni. The brands you mentioned are hi-fi brands and they wont be the mid ranges. Chineyere however offers better prices. Khaadi Khaas is good too. Check at even Junaid Jamshed I bought 1 dress (chiffon) last year from them and wore on eid. It was so much been lauded.

Shoes quality has been far better than last few years now. Look at Stylo, Ehsan and Comley in Liberty. There is one pharmacy also in Pakistan that has shoes (seriously) and they are quite good, im just not getting to recall the name. Probably its Zia Pharmacy.
