office politics is something else, where people compete to gain power/position. in our culture, these lagai bhujai is worst than office politics. many khandan are destroyed because of lagai bhujhai.

I don't think that only women are involved in the process of lagai bujhai and that too only Desi women. Men are equally involved in facilitating such things :)

Everyone likes to gossip, hear gossip and spread gossip and the paparazzi have actually managed to mill money out of it. Its not just a thing only desis do (maybe we do it a little too well) but everyone is guilty!! Ok most of us!! There is going to be that one person who will hold me accountable for including everybody so most of us gossip!!
