What’s so unrealistic about desi’s learning cricket and beating their masters at their own game?? happens all the time now.
True for the dramatic effect the period of ‘training’ was too short, but it’s a movie.. not a documentary.

I am not a big movie fan, I don't even remember the last time I saw an Indian movie.
But best wishes to all that are responsible for this nomination! And hopefully they will win! :)
BTW, when are the results due?

I watched Lagaan and I must admit that it had been a long time since I actually enjoyed an Indian movie.
Whether or not the film depicts how Cricket was introduced to the sub-continent, it certainly does show the strength of the human spirit in adverse conditions. It sets a good example of how one can accomplish beyond physical and emotional boundaries. Two thumbs up from me.
Being nominated for an Oscar is an honor in itself. Congrats to the team that put the movie together!
