Fatima in Portugal is the site of what were supposedly apparitions of Mary mother of Jesus to some children... there's a web site dedicated to it, Google will show it i'm sure if you try hard enough...
I don't know if I believe this stuff...could be just people's superstitious imaginations I guess.

The Blessed Virgin Mary, appeared six times to three shepherd children ("the Three Seers") near the town of Fatima, Portugal between May 13th and October 13th 1917. Appearing to the children, the Blessed Virgin told them that She had been sent by God with a message for every man, woman and child living in our century. Coming at a time when civilization was torn assunder by war and bloody violence, She promised that Heaven would grant peace to all the world if Her requests for prayer, reparation and consecration were heard and obeyed
The Three Secrets :
The heart of Our Lady's Message to the world is contained in what has come to be called the "Secret" which She confided to the three child seers in July 1917. The Secret actually consists of three parts, the first two of which have been publicly revealed. The first part of the Secret was a horrifying vision of hell "where the souls of poor sinners go" and contained an urgent plea from Our Lady for acts of prayer and sacrifice to save souls. The second part of the Secret specifically prophesized the outbreak of World War II and contained the blessed Mother's solemn request for the Consecration of Russia as a condition of world peace. It also predicted the inevitable triumph of Her Immaculate Heart following Russia's consecration and the conversion "of that poor nation" to the Catholic Faith.
The last part of the Secret (often called the "Third Secret") has not yet been made public, but was written down by Lucy Dos Santos, the last living Fatima seer, in 1944 and has been in the possession of the Holy See since 1957. Most informed sources speculate that this portion of the Secret concerns chaos in the Catholic Church, predicting widespread apostasy and a loss of faith beginning in the seventh decade of the 20th century.

Ms. Linda Goodman talked about these messages in her book "Gooberz". She said the same things about the third message, but in addition she said that it also mentions apocalypse.
The description of apocalypse in that message was similar to what (I understand) is already there in Christanity and Islam. But, notably, the message also gave a date for the apocalpse, which was probably near the end of the 20th century.

According to Christianity, is Fatima a place name or is it a name of a lady?
Fatima seems to be a name of place in Portugal but there’s also the thing “Our Lady Fatima” 
Can someone clarify on this. What/who is Fatima?

fatima is a village in portugal where according to catholic christian belief, the vision of mary appeared to three people in 1917....
she passed them some message....
the church (pope) have endorced the message and have even visited fatima considering it a pilgrimage....
the full phrase "our heavenly mother mary of fatima" ahs been shortened to "our lady of fatima" and sometimes even just "our lady fatima"....

Xtians belief that it was a vision of Mary is a LIE.
Fatima was one of the wives of the prophet Mohammed, so why would Mary appear in a village with a MUSLIM name?

it was a vision to three little children in the early twentieth century in a place called Fatima in Portugul, The children were told three secrets by the vision which were kept ordinary people by the church, some poeple say one of them was about somebody trying to kill the Pope.
When the adults found out
thousands of people gather at that place at a specific time and they witnessed some kind of solar eclipse type thing.

The village was named after Fatima, one of the daughters of the Muslim king who once ruled that area. After the Christians reconquered Spain, Fatima was one of the places that they did not rename.
