Not as long as i can help it but honestly what is in your destiny, no matter how much you avoid it you are gonna get that only!

I say no because it would only mean making not only my life difficult but also the husband's life a hell because when you are use to of a certain kind of lifestyle it gets very hard to adjust and adapt to something totally different. Not saying it is not possible but unless it is mad, true love i don't think anyone would go for it and to be honest i don't think it would be wise to go for it in any case at all cuz it just makes life difficult for everyone involved. Yes, you can marry somone of your status and they can get poor after marriage but its two different things. Going for it with open eyes very much knowing what you are getting into and then regretting it is horrible.

i would, i was totally into a guy that had a BS deg in the sciences but with the whole job market being crappy he ended up resorting to working at a store as a salesman......he's a hard worker and good at his job plus he seems to enjoy it b/c he's around other desis(pakistanis+indians). i think it all depends on how he treats his woman, whether he cares enough is understanding and this guy's just such a full of life guy smiling most of the time and the best thing is that he's confident and in no way ashamed or does he feel inferior which is such a huge thing with desi, the whole status stuff

he's defintely mr. charming and makes most of the people around him so lively. so i guess my answer is yep! but would be totally defensive of him when around other desis that see IT, medicine and banking as the only careers for desis

i don't think a persons job ddefines who they are as a person. i may have a certain lifestyle at the moment but life is not about the things you wear or the places you go or the things you eat. as a muslim we should understand this. Allah can take away your things in a second.

i am more concerned about what he is like as a person... i used to know this guy who just worked in his bro's restaurant. he didnt even have a GCSE to his name. but he was the most amazing guy id ever met.

i think people these days are too concerned with their lifestyle and status. it doesnt matter that the guy is funny or extremely considerate. it matters more as to what job they have or what degree they have or which area they live in. i think its utter BS.

i for one have never understood this whole 'i need an educated guy/girl'

i have a degree n my hubby to be could be a taxi driver. as long as he loves me and we get on well and he makes me laugh n keeps me happy im not bothered. i do not think of myself as better than a guy who has that job. in comparison to his personality i could be considered lower than him to Allah.

That might work for you however contrary to your beliefs I think as an educated person I wouldn't be able to get on with someone who wasn't on my level. Uneducated people wouldn't probably get half the things I say. Never mind, marrying them.

If someone is to marry they should try to make sure that their potential is on the same terms or level. Otherwise it could cause problems.
