I recently had my menstrual cycle as I have it normally every month. I had it almost 2 weeks ago and now I am having it again so soon! It started out as pinkish red color 2 days ago and now its black. I was not sure where to ask this question so I am asking it here. I hope men are not reading this but if they are then..oh well..I can’t prevent it. Is this normal and if it is then why does it happen? I mean, women are supposed to have their cycle once a month, every 3 to four weeks, not every two weeks. I don’t think this is normal, so any suggestions/help would be appreciated. P.S.- no jokes please

Could you be pregnant? Implantation bleeding sometimes occurs and is usually light spotting, pink or brown in color. It only lasts for a day or two.
Re: Ladies ONLY-help
no no no, i m not pregnant. I am 100 % sure for obvious reasons..but thanks for the help anyways
Re: Ladies ONLY-help
Oh okay. Well sometimes we have withdrawal bleeding to shed old lining. But it may be good to get it checked out, in case.
Re: Ladies ONLY-help
Ok I don't want to worry you but u need to go to a gyno asap. Most likely the reason may be a uterine fiberoid or a polyp. Both can be easily treated and inshallah that will be the end of it but as with any unusual symptoms even if if had occurred only once u must get medical attention.
Polyps and fibroids usually cause this including scar tissue but since u have never been pregnant before u probably don't have scar tissue. Both polyps and fibroids can cause excessive bleeding and/or periods close together. Many women can have either or but may never know they have it unless they experience any symptoms. And usually they don't cause any problems and fibroids tend to go away during menopause since they are usually created because of female hormones.
Anyway, go to the gyno soon. Inshallah everything will be fine.
Re: Ladies ONLY-help
Thankyou for your help! For some reason, since my last post, its still going on and I'm getting worried! I'll call my doctor and find out soon what it is..
Re: Ladies ONLY-help
dont worry Phool once a year every gal face this problem..... but do go see ur doc...
maybe u should jst go to a drop in clinics ... i hate ma doc too :(
Re: Ladies ONLY-help
^ that's strange. If everything is normal, u shouldn't be facing it even once in a year.
Re: Ladies ONLY-help
Go to a gyno asap. Its probably something small but should be treated right away, regardless.
Sorry if i ruffle your feathers but its a fatuous ques especially asking here on GS?Do you think we have docs here?...Please donot feel offened n see a doc
