And Yves Saint Laurent?
Yves - eev
Saint - saN
Laurent - Lo-roN
N is pronounced soft and kinda nasally. :)

So for the Americans here, yes I know your dictionary gives you liberty to invite people into your foi-yer ("foi" like boy and "yer" sounding like her). But the correct pronunciation is fwa-yay.
If the French pronunciation is too French - then ask guests into your hallway - please don't slaughter the word.
No, it’s actually “Turn the curtains off.” At least that’s how I say it…n with pride too ![]()
Re: Ladies! Let’s get this straight…
Arrghhhh i just remembered some others. You know what i really REALLY hate?
Yankies saying 'erbs instead of HERBS! You’re not French that you don’t pronounce your H’s…stop imitating! ![]()
And people who say “nucular” a la Homer Simpson styley…it’s new-clee-er.
Re: Ladies! Let's get this straight...
Who will tell me the differences in 'close' (shut off) and 'close' (near) ? Two different meanings.
Close the door honey and come close to me! ;)
Re: Ladies! Let's get this straight...
Some common mistakes:
"Close the light"
"Close the TV"
